Gulson Canberra Jeep - Service

Service manager Darren Atherton is a complete liar gear box failed 2 months after new car warranty at 59000kms told wife too bad nothing they could do charged $5000 to fix it found out later it would have been covered under consumer Guarantee laws which they know of but make more money doing non warranty work less than 2 years later it went again charged $2000 this time less than year later same thing wanted another $1900 told me very arrogantly if I don’t like it take us to court had to walk away from it lost a lot of money on a car I bought from them and got serviced by them Graham Gulson is a money hungry grub who shouldn’t be allowed in business. Your reply below wants factual OKAY the staff member my wife was liaising with repeatedly told her how unlucky we were to miss out by 2 month’s maybe he thought Jeep had a better warranty than a $30 garden hose from Bunnings or a $50 toaster from K-mart but obviously not. I spoke with FCA after 3rd gearbox failed they said they have no record of correspondence with you about this vehicle so there lying or you are. I noticed you didn’t mention how times you tried to fix it and kept charging me for the privilege or is that standard Gulson workmanship. Gulson’s motto should be “ if we can’t fix it properly the first 2 times we’ll try damm hard the 3rd “ So yes I don’t have much time for your staff especially Darren and for Graham Gulson who is so important he can’t take or return a phone call. Just because you’ve been handed everything your entire life and get to play with daddy’s money doesn’t make you a better person than anyone else you spoilt brat

These “mechanics” were meant to fix my car… instead they bodged it up!! Instead of securing large plates under my car with bolts they used ZIP TIES!!!! Completely unsafe & inappropriate - when we tried to bring this to their attention they thought we were threatening them & said they would call the police on us… we just wanted them to fix the car properly!! Instead they let me drive away with unsafe unsecured bash plates… they didn’t even fix my car properly either (it broke down 2 months later with the same problem) I definitely wasn’t taking it back to gulson though!!I highly DONT recommend- if I could give them no stars I would!

Really bad customer service. Ordered a tail-light for my Jeep Wrangler January 2022. When I phoned 2 months later, they had no record of the order. Booked my Jeep for a service in September 2022. When I rang to reschedule, the lady (Donna?) could not even locate my service booking. Or even my rego! What kind of system and customer service do you call this? You have lost my businee - will be taking my Jeep to a better shop from now on. BTW Gulson, do not contact me about this post - I've wasted enough time with you. Compared to Melbourne Jeep, your customer service is disgraceful.

A very difficult brand to fix, but the boys at gulsons do a good job of going above and beyond with their diagnostic skills and technical knowledge. Wouldn't take my wrangler anywhere else.

I would not recommend this company. There customer service is terrible. Takes months for parts to come in and looks like the staff have no process in place to follow up on parts and to keep their customers in the loop to manage expectations. No-one ever returns your call, you have to continue to ring them and constantly being told they have no staff. For a premium car services company they defiantly do not reflect this in there customer service and how they treat their customers. Extremely disappointed.

These guys are so desperate for work they create it. My car is so much worse having been there for 'service'. They changed unnecessary parts and made a bloody mess of the cars cooling system in the process. And charged more than 200% what was quoted. Just avoid at all costs.
