New Home Shop

I have built with NHS and was handed over my home a few months back. There were some delays due to covid, but I’m sure most builders were experiencing issues and probably more so the smaller ones. I have been very happy with the finish and the quality. My site supervisor Nick was on point and sales consultant Matt was fantastic in putting together our package. I have just reached the 3 month maintenance period of the home and all is well.

Irresponsible builders and contractors they deal with as well. No response, call backs, email replies from them even after frequent followups for 8 months. A BIG THUMBS DOWN. Never ever..I would have given a BIG NEGATIVE provived there was any option in this review.

The most unprofessional and most unresponsive persons.my simple single stored construction property was in final stage i think for almost 2 months and they still dont provide PCI.They take their own decisions for any amendments in master plan without any permission seeking from customers or atleast a variance document to be signed etc.,.Its almost 1 year journey with them and i really regret to invest my money time and effort in New home shop.They will have hell lot of excuses right from director to the subordinates.Instead of updating on real time lines they send us junk news letter sugar coated emails.such a disappointment and after final inspection I will also leave my honest review in Product reviews !

- When we moved to our new family house as new home buyers, the first week we were here water came through the front door and I contacted new home shop I had no reply so I had to get someone to extend the drainage in front of the garage so it catches all the water instead of the water coming inside.- The ducted heating was short and I had to go myself to extend it because there was no answer from the maintenance.- The water tap in the kitchen has no pressure at all and they said that I have to deal with it.- We had issues with the rainwater pipes and we were told to speak to the council about it.- They never answer their phones and when we spoke to the director he said only emails but they don’t reply to their emails.- The bathroom has damage and we have been trying to email and call them for the last 12 months and we have received no reply. Every time we call reception, they don’t answer and when they do they tell us that they are working from home and they will get someone to call us back. I’m very disappointed with them and as a young family as first homebuyers, this experience was supposed to be joyful and happy but it ended up becoming a stressful nightmare. If we could turn back time, we would have never built with them and just be aware they of them.

If you are willing to wait more than a year for your home, have no update on your build, have no reply on your email/messages, then you have found your builder.As much as i don’t want to put in a review, people should be warned. Will update this when we hopefully move in to our home. They said before Christmas break, but let’s see if they are true to their word.

I would give less than a 1 star review if I could. Our entire build has been horrific with terrible customer service, we have consistently been lied to and dismissed. We were charged incorrect progress payments throughout our entire build and were told to deal with it because we will 'still get our house'. Our build went over our permitted contract terms and the only reason we moved in was because we sought legal action. Still, 6 months following our maintenance period we are awaiting maintenance issues. This company always over promises and under delivers. This company delivers horrible customer service and even worse quality build. Avoid at all costs.

My build with NHS completed end of 2022. Some delays due to Covid but they did a good job. Thank you Edmond and Valissa for their timely responses to my queries and guidance during the build.

New home shop is a big No, if you do not want headache keep your self away from them. You will be is dispute after dispute after dispute. You will end up with a big bill. You will hear too many lies. I swear to God they do not value time. Once you are locked on the contract they will start changing everything for you. Your house will take 1 year and half or more to get built. This is not a joke.Look at the number of comments of people who are upset with them. Look how many people like what other people wrote. New home shop management, stop ripping off people. Stop lieing to your clients. I recommend all the clients to come together to take action against new home Shop.Remember new home shop lies will cost you too much. There are too many builders out there go with someone who is professional and value your time.

never build with this company, unless you want to pay for a house that you’re never going to get. unprofessional, bad service and all in all a bad experience.

Been putting of writing a review, thinking it will get better..but no.. issues after issues still.They charge $1k for a contract variation but don’t follow the variation. They charge for the upgrade but put in the normal one, and they put in the wrong floor color! I mean, how incompetent is that?! In their defense, they are willing to correct it, but says “it’s gonna take time, that is the reality of it” We’ve already been waiting for nearly a YEAR for a 179sqm home! That’s how long they take to build!We’ve hired a private inspector, and of course, found heaps of issues. Paid for a reinspection, only to find out that NHS haven’t rectified the issues. That is how unprofessional they are.Every time you email them, it takes days for them to reply. You need to call them to follow up.I’m sure there is no perfect builder, but as first-home buyers, our experience with them was disappointing. Do not recommend NHS at all!
