Firstly, Matt who rang me and helped with the initial information was and is about the best help that Melbourne Polytechnic has. Matt is also very helpful and friendly in the library. The library itself and the opening times for the computer lab in building M are good. However, considering that this is Melbourne, a capital city. I expected far better when it comes to enrolling in the chosen course, not the runaround that I received and the rudeness shown by the women at Preston campus. She was very demanding and expected me to understand how to show my check-in history on my phone when I didn't know. She was not willing to take my printed out vaccination certificate as I didn't have a digital copy. The staff at the Preston campus were going to show me how to obtain a copy of the digital certificate. No, she was not going to let me in. I told her that I had an appointment and that I was enrolling plus that I had come about 30+km to do this. She replied that she came from Diamond Creek. She said that she was only doing her job, my reply: I am only helping keep you and everyone else in a job, without us the students, you don't gave a job.I was let in and enrolled in the course. While in the Capital city TAFE part; I expected so much better when it comes to buildings etc than in a regional or country town. Melbourne Polytechnic don't have the facilities that are needed by students, there is no seating outside of buildings, and the maps that are around the campus are not well labelled at all. There are no legends to say where things are or mean, that ‘you are here, location of toilets, disabled car parks are limited and badly signed. No bus times. No indication of first aid on the maps and so much more.Classroom bookings are bad and the expectation that students should bring laptops to class but Melbourne Polytechnic doesn't supply power points to charge our laptops is a joke. The buildings are very sad and need a lot of attention. We were locked down for two years. There are no recreational facilities for students to enjoy. When I went to two regional cities in Queensland, both at the time had a community of 80,000-120,000 people, but both made Melbourne Polytechnic look like Melbourne ran out of money and don't care. The Melbourne campus does not look like a campus in a capital city and it's not enticing to want to go or come back.

The work efficiency is impressively poor!I was standing at enrolment for more than half an hour waiting for two staffs enrolling for only ONE student! No one came to ask me if I need any help! Terrible efficiency and bad service.

I completed a certificate II in computer assembly and repair in 2019 and the campus was quite resourceful. Staff were amazing, especially in the library! Gavin and Deepa were remarkable trainers!**I don't drive, I caught a train to the railway station opposite the campus so I'm not familiar with campus parking or any fees.

This school is a joke. and i am talking about the building and construction department. This is how bad their managment is:2 days into a new term. Classes well started. And I and a lot other students still have not received the list of units we can choose to study and instead got enrolled into the units that they decided" for us because they stuffed up and need to fast track everything.they have no idea what they are doing and they want students to pay the price.Emailing them does not get a reply. Even the student service centre staff couldn't get hold of the persons responsible. so they just send them an email like i did. I have been to different schools in different countries. some in developing countries. but none were this bad. I guess when a course is heavily subsidised by the government they don't really care how it runs. therefore i am lodging complaints with the Victorian Education Department. And I encourage everyone who feel the same to follow suit."
