It is what it is - not fancy, but comfortable enough and the kitchen does a fantastic job of accommodating dietary needs (making a pizza with meat but non-dairy cheese? Thanks!).Cellphone reception: Optus passable, Telstra mediocre (when outside), Vodafone: forget it.

I have stayed here several times as part of the ManKind Project's New Warrior Training Adventure weekends. I love this place. The buildings are old and simplistic but they have a lot of character. The location is lush. Springbrook is a gorgeous part of Australia. Koonjewarre is literally a few minutes from some incredible nature walks and waterfalls.

This place is magnificent! The sound of kookaburras echo through the surrounds to wake us up in the morning. The native flora and fauna is abundant and diverse. Great venue. Have been heading there for School Biology Camp. Reasonable cabins and facilities. Always plenty of food.

The location is simply stunning!! The rooms, bunk beds and mattresses leave a lot to be desired though. Mouldy and dirty old mattresses, obscene graffiti written on the beds. Definitely in dire need of some TLC.

I have had many weekend group breaks at Koonjewarre over the past couple of years, both in summer and winter. It is, as the promo says, where the mountains meet the sky.Beautiful scenery and a wonderful connection to the hinterland. Great place for big groupLots of activities: canoeing, mini golf, soccer, volley, and badminton. Great campfire. And for Muslims, David can provide Halal food

Location is sublime, the food was excellent and abundant for 65 hungry children and adults. Some of the facilities are starting to age while fully functional..surrounded by wallabies in the evenings

David and the team at Koonjewarre are FANTASTIC, very accommodating to group needs, super helpful with all aspects of your group booking. Highly recommend the facility and the staff.Not having to share the facility with other guests was a huge selling point for our group also the close proximity to some great walking and swimming spots!

Sunset and sunrise are beautifully magnificent, the calling of the birds wonderful, the residence is great for group bookings/workshops.The meals are outstanding.Always happy and willing to return.
