Why they take tax payer's money to pay those lousy legal aids. They are not helpful at all. I once received a ticket from the police. I went to legal aid for assistance. In stead of helping me, she was very sarcastic. She spoke to me like I was an idiot. She then simply left. Another guy took over and talked to me a little more politely. But both of them just ask me to pay the one grand fine. Finally I got help from my friend. I simply wrote a letter to the judge and explained that it was accidental, not intentional and it was my first time. The judge just waived the fine.

If I could give you zero I would for the way my mother and I were treated the guy that interviewed us was not at all interested in helping us, he didn't look at any of my paperwork or photos that I had. Well letting you know we went to out Local Member and she got all our money back. So thank you for nothing

These guys don't give accurate information they are always dealing with low ballers so I think their line of judgement and attitude has come accustomed to deal with that line of people, I would rather get information or support elsewhere before waiting around and then to be told to do something that you could have been told before being suggested to go here

Legal aid Bankstown is perhaps one of the most unprofessional offices thus far. The receptionist is too hectic for life to give advice, she will certainly get intimidated if you speak better English and use words which are greater than her minute vocabulary and will eventually shut in your face. been trying for weeks to meet as they are my appointed lawyers. they dont even return my calls.i am not sure what to do as i have 3 witness and nothing has been done

Wow, just wow, the lady who answered hung up in my face right in the middle of my sentence. Obviously free legal aid doesn't come with the ability to listen. The only reason people reach out to this service is out of desperation from mistreatment or discrimination of some sort and to be ignored while seeking help is shameful.
