The food here is really very good. Fresh flavours, and the sauces are not cloying as with so many other Chinese restaurants. Don and his staff give excellent service.

Was expecting suburban Chinese restaurant. Got the tastiest, freshest dishes ever and lashings of it. Loved chicken satay, barramundi, even the veggies and tofu were delicious. And Don's merry non-Dons are super friendly and relaxed.

Me and a good friend of mine come here nearly every week. We both agree that not only is this some of the tastiest and freshest Chinese and Asian cuisine in Newcastle, but holds up against anywhere in Australia, and overseas, as both of us are well traveled. I have lost my account but I would like to contact you through Facebook.After all, I would to make a statement in the following.1. all of my sauces are homemade. If you can buy any of the sauces in a jar, please let me know. I can save time making them and spend more time with my kids.2. We are not just Chinese food. We are delivering morden Asian cuisine as you can see in my restaurant name.3. Regarding the slow cooked lamb, I believe most customers would prefer that they are able to eat the meat. Being in chuck is necessary as they would be cooked for three hours slowI’m sorry again for not meeting your stereotypical expectation of Asian food.

I’m very disappointed Home deliver I ordered steamed dim sims and got fried also ordered spring rolls that were cold Then chicken chow mein which had a very sweet taste not pleasant at all and beef in oyster which tasted nothing like beef in oyster was also on the sweet side lastly I ordered deep fried ice cream that was lovely I won’t be back waste of money so disappointed used to be lovely ,,,,,,

Well ... I tried this place because of the ratings, and it is one of the first times that Google reviews have let me down. This is not Chinese food. It is frozen, pre-prepared, sauce from a jar, with a few fresh bits of regular (not Chinese!) vegetables (carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini). Excessively salty. I am generous giving it two stars. Oh, and the Mongolian lamb has chunks of slow-cooked lamb!!! What the hell?!? It was truly awful!

We just ordered our first meal from Don's Kitchen. We were very impressed with the good quantity of vegetables, and the high quality of ingredients. The size of servings is excellent too.The Thai fried rice was fantastic, the kids loved the chicken in plum sauce too. The dumplings tasted like they were definitely hand-made as they lacked the usual flavour enhancers of store bought Asian foods. I enjoyed them immensely. The home made curry was also fresh and excellent with high quality ingredients. All the dishes tasted fresh, and seemed to be without excessive additives and flavourings. I chose this place as it claimed to be MSG free, which is a rarity. Thank you Don.

Really tasty genuine Chinese food. Excellent service from the front counter to the cooks who when the waitress was busy brought the food out to our tables. really friendly, good place to go for a relaxing dinner and a few drinks. cheap too. Ill be back....many times
