I am very picky about where my little retirement companion goes, who he comes into contact with, and I expect a high level of care as a 25+ years vet nurse who finally now has the time to spend on my own dog!Fiona has a fabulous sense of humour and works very hard to make sure the experience each dog has is a good one. It is a spotless environment, and very well organised, which I appreciate.Now, I’m doing some travelling around with my little mate, and since he’s had some really relaxing stress free clips with Fiona, I know that he’s set up really well for the rest of his life.Kevin and I are off to see the north and wish you all the best. Fiona has been amazing with Peach and I won’t be going to anyone else!! This is the second ever negative review I’ve left on a business page so bear with me. We had been clients of Furry Tails for close to a year and the owner had always been short, abrupt, unwelcoming but we didn’t mind as she is a decent groomer and local to us. Our last appointment in April, things started taking a turn. I received a text that my dog was ready to be picked up at around 12:00. When we arrived at 12:10, she was standing in the middle of the street outside the salon holding our dog.Pretty strange but didn’t worry about it. That night we received a written warning via text that being late wasn’t ok. With our latest appointment in June, my wife was told she would be ready “around lunch time”. Thinking this would fall somewhere between 11:30 – 1:30 when lunchtime normally occurs, we waited for the text like our previous 4 appointments. We started getting worried as her hadn’t heard anything. Finally, at 2pm we get a text saying our dog should have been picked up at 12:00. I asked well why haven’t you called or text? The owner didn’t answer me and then banned our dog from returning via text the next day. All this way was a simple miscommunication on her end which we would have been fine with. But instead of taking ownership, she banned us instead of apologising for the mix up. That’s all you need to know about her conduct.
