We visited the Bendigo administration office on 8th April 2022 to find information regarding the location of an ancestors grave site. We tried ringing the office just after 8:30 that morning but was put on hold as first in queue for over 40 minutes. We decided to go into their office as it was our last day in Bendigo. The reception we received from the front office person was far from receptive. On asking her for the information we were curtly told that that information was on their website and we should look there. I asked why they don't answer their phones at 8:30 she replied that she doesn't start work until 9am but their website clearly states offices open at 8:30.This response we received gave us the impression that we were a nuisance and her rudeness upset my wife.I told the office person I had looked on line and had the details of the grave but needed help to find which cemetery the grave was in as Bendigo has 10 cemeteries and none were referred to as the Monumental cemetery" that the records showed. I showed a screen shot from their website with the details then was given a map of the site. When I asked where it was I was quickly told that that she wouldn't know as she didn't live in Bendigo ??After being handed the map I asked where in the cemetery was the plot

RPCV would have to be the worst organisation I have ever dealt with!At the present point in time they are demanding that families remove ornaments, lights etc from our loved ones graves because it is apparently against their rules. Absolute shame on them.We pay a small fortune to bury our loved ones at their cemeteries and we are not allowed to adorn our loved ones graves anymore? I've never seen a problem.Speaking of paying a small fortune, you would think that they would actually maintain the cemeteries but again that's too hard. For the last 6 years my family has been complaining to RPCV about the state of the graves, many of which have massive sink holes hidden in long overgrown grass.I have fallen over on 3 separate occasions and reported this and absolutely nothing has been done!My mother and aunt have mobility issues and can no longer visit the grave of our loved ones due to the state of the graves.Myself and my family have complained on numerous occasions about this and NEVER receive a response. Most recently I complained yet again about this issue and was told it was due to all the rain in October 2022... pretty poor response considering we have been complaining for many years now with no adequate response or action. All this does is cause more heartache for the family left behind! Please take care of the grounds and our loved ones resting places before someone seriously injures themselves. Please note that these photos are taken on 3 seperate days 1 month apart! Nothing ever changes!!!

Revolting organisation. Who removes items like a ceramic dolphin from a teenagers grave? What kind of people would ban trinkets from loved ones graves and then request employees throw them in the bin for grieving relatives to find? Literal grave robbers.

Unresponsive to emails and phone calls. No replies over 2 months of multiple enquiries. Unacceptable at a time of grief.

They need to Get Over Their Own Self Importance - ordering a family to change a grave site because of the Colour. Seriously I find this offensive
