R.M.Williams Carindale

Twice I've had RM Williams shoes repairs. Twice I've had the shoes come back wrong. First time was the shoes came back resized (???). Second time they changed the sole type. Best not to be in a hurry when dealing with RM

This is the first time I have written a review good or bad but felt compelled to write this after the experience I have had with R.M. Williams at Carindale. I first went to purchase a new pair of RM Williams from this store on 04/01/2022. I noticed at the time that the 3 staff on that day were not busy, however did not ask me if I needed help despite being in the shop for 2-3 minutes. I therefore approached them but the pair I wanted in my size were not available at the time and I was advised there would be an approximate wait time of 2-3 months. I understood given the current climate in delivering goods, so paid the $750 up front. During this time the staff member was completely uninterested and I just went through the motions of getting my details and taking the money up front like it was somehow a chore. The shoes arrived a couple of months later and today had to have my partner return them as there was a 2cm hole in the sole. My partner subsequently felt like she was interrogated as to why this had happened as if me wearing the shoes (an office job), was to blame (my last pair lasted 4 years). A 10 - 12 week wait is the result to get them repaired. Making a customer feel to blame on a shoe that cost $750, an RM Williams Brand, that lasts 7 months is surely not something that a customer should feel bad about. I also might add that I even was worried about sending my partner in because of the rudeness I felt when first purchasing the shoes. In summary unbelievably rude service, since parting with $750, I will have had 7 months use in what will be a 12 months period. One would think empathy would be a more prevalent approach.

I’ve waited a long time to purchase my first pair of RM Williams boots, and because of the fantastic service I received from Bernie and Monique, I will definitely go to Carindale for my next pair. They were patient whist I tried on multiple sizes/widths, despite the store being quite busy, and nothing was too much trouble. If you are going to treat yourself to a pair of RM’s, I happily recommend this store. Thank you.

Went in the store not really knowing where to start as my partner and I were looking to purchase his first pair of boots. Don was super helpful and was very patient. Loved how genuine he was with us. It was a fresh retail experience thanks to Don.

Friendly, helpful staff. This is the store you should check out if you want that unique, special & beautifully made gift, it’s not exclusive to men only, women & child are catered for too. The women’s large leather tote bags are fantastic. I did spot gorgeous little leather booties for newborns, which would a lovely gift for young parents,which would become quality heirloom pieces. We couldn’t find the leather belt size we needed in store - which wasn’t a problem for the R.M Williams staff. Apparently they can make a belt to any size - bespoke. Our belt has been ordered, and will be delivered to the store in a few days. Fantastic service, beautiful quality pieces.w

The lady with blonde hair who works here has amazing customer service. So friendly and helpful. She knows her products I would buy anything from her again. Fantastic service !

Big thanks to Lyn for her amazing service in helping me select the perfect boot. She had great knowledge of the products and was very thorough in her checks to make sure the fit was perfect. Also thanks to Bernie for helping me get my boots quickly. I will recommend to everyone to shop here.
