Ouyen Caravan Park

Well if it wasn't for the fact that I'm tired I would have found something else but there is nothing more here. On a positive note the amenities are clean. The grounds well it could be mistaken for a caravan park that has been closed. There are no bins to put rubbish in. The owner was friendly . It's only one night that we are staying here. If the place was given a good clean it would be OK. Anyway my view may not be the same as others?

The owners of this park struggle to keep it staffed. The manager is rarely on site & we had to search town for him to be able to check in (the peeps @ the United servo know him & found him for us). Cabin was very basic & run down. Not great value for money.

Great check in, friendly and welcoming this peaceful park with a friendly cat was a great stopover for us. Dinner at the club in town was also good. Recommended for weary travellers.

Very disappointed, as it was advertised as simular to a hotel motel we have stayed at before......First cabin was dirty pee on the floor around the toilet and stained sheets cobwebs everywhere. So I complained and got another room. Second room dirty floors but thankfully Clean sheets. Management washed the floors before we went in which we were greatful for. Unfortunately there was nowhere else.

In a nutshell. Don't bother. Find another cabin in another town. If we had not been later in the day we would have. The tiny cabin was dirty. Had to sweep the floor. Inundated with these flying bugs and no flyspray. Only the bathroom sink to wash any dishes. Could hear the people next door as no soundproofing. Not a happy camper.

Terrible place to spend the night. On checking in and paying $40, reception made no mention that the ladies toilets and showers were not operating.My wife went to use the facilities and found a tiler working there with tiles and equipment strewn all over the floor. The tiler mentioned there was a single shower and toilet attached to a building that she could use. She found the lights were not working there.This one shower and toilet was to serve all the females staying in this Park.The male facilities were not much better. The tiling had been finished but the fall of the tiles was not correct and water flowed into the drying area of the cubicle. There was a shower curtain rod but no curtain. Grouting had not been cleaned properly from the tiles.The most annoying part was that the operators of the Park seemed to think that we should accept these inconveniences.On the plus side for the township of Ouyen is the excellent tasty Asian food served for dine- in or takeaway at the Services/ Sports Club.

Seems to be undergoing renovations but currently overpriced for a very basic park. The dusty paddock has been replaced with tarmac, but sites very sloped with lots of small sharp stones. Some drive though sites. Central trees have been removed so shade only on perimeter. Showers mid renovation. Cubicles cramped and water flows into ‘dry area’. Difficult to regulate temp. Smelled clean. Grassed area out back unchanged and fairly tidy but long way to loos. Was basically empty during our stay which probably says a lot.

Do not stay here. The amenities were terrible and the park is a dustbowl. It's also expensive! We would have found another place to stay if we hadn't needed to stop for sleep. We only realised the next day that there's a free place to stop only next door. Do yourself a favour and stay there instead!

As a caravaner I stay at parks for the amenities, these were dark, dirty and very smelly, the grass areas have 3 corner jacks, the semi’s roar past non stop. Next time I will stop on the side of the road
