MIKAL DUNN SALON

I was extremely impressed with the efficiency, care and attention to detail of this salon...I rang Mikal Dunn Hair Salon to get a colour (balage), cut and style for that day, as another salon cancelled on me last minute and I had an event to go to in the afternoon. They were very accommodating and empathetic towards my situation. All of the staff were very friendly and checked on a regular basis whether I needed water, coffee, tea etc. I had the pleasure of Chloe working on my hair. She listened to what I wanted and gave honest advice on what my hair needed. I was delighted with the end result. It was very natural, due to Chloe’s level of experience and skill. I will definitely be returning to this salon and recommending to a friend!

Forgot to write this review when I got my hair done before lockdown but I had the best experience at Mikal Dunn. I had Chloe and she was SO lovely and kind and we had a great chat AND my hair looked 10/10 afterwards. Can't wait to come back!!

I have my hair coloured here, the results are always excellent, even when I needed colour correction from another salon. The space is minimal, roomy, and dog friendly. All round this is a beautiful salon with great service and I find it very good value for the super professional service.

The stuff of hair dreams! I moved to Melbourne almost 2 years ago and was so nervous about finding a new hairdresser. I walked passed the salon a few times then bit the bullet and made an appointment...almost 2 years on I'm still obsessed with this salon!Chloe, Mikal and the team are so lovely and welcoming and when it comes to hair...THEY JUST KNOW! I had the pleasure of visiting Mikal Dunn salon on Friday for the first time. My experience was brilliant from the get-go, being greeted by the gorgeous Bonnie upon arrival who kindly offered something to drink, read and continually ensured I was comfortable throughout my visit. Mikal worked his magic on my hair, and listened to my desire to go light blonde from brown whilst still maintaining my hair's health. I left with a gorgeous, perfectly blended full head of highlights that felt extremely soft and silky. Mikal's passion for hair is undeniable, which is clearly reflected in his talented skills and attention to detail. The prices at Mikal Dunn are incredibly reasonable for the service they provide, which is something important to me (being a full-time student). Mikal Dunn is a gem of a salon - looking forward to repeated visits in the future!! :)

I moved from India to Melbourne 3 years ago and could not find a suitable hairdresser to save my life. I got haircuts I wasn’t entirely happy with. It was only after I went to this salon yesterday that I found a hairdresser I am super happy with! I absolutely love my haircut, finally! They understood EXACTLY what I had in mind and treated my hair with a lot of care. Safe to say I’ve found THE place. The amount charged was also exactly the same as advertised on their website and it was lovely to see that despite a fantastic treatment and tiny add-ons, there were no hidden costs. Will definitely be a returning customer for a very long time. I wish I’d asked the name of the lady who cut my hair, but thank you so much! Love X

The best blonde I’ve ever had. Today was my third visit to see Mikal, the most patient man in the world. (I have long, thick hair) & despite being the only staff member left with his entire team off for the week with covid, he still went above & beyond looking after myself & other clients with back to back appointments. Cool, calm & collected despite what’s clearly been a frustrating week, the colour magician did not disappoint. The salon has a soothing feel to it with a top notch playlist and delicious coffee, hidden away from the hustle & bustle of Toorak Road. Do yourself a favour & book in, you won’t be disappointed.
