I had a chemical straightening done with Pam and Suzanne. I absolutely love my hair now which I have hated all my life. The service at Sydney Strands is just awesome. They look after you so well. Even when I just went in for a colour, I had 3 lovely ladies checking on my hair with no long waits in between. This is a great salon and Pam is a very caring hairdresser who gives great advice.

The lady at the front desk that took me to my chair was lovely (I didn’t get her name) however, the stylist didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. She didn’t introduce herself and then proceeded to cut my hair within 12 minutes. My appointment was at 2pm and I was out before quarter past. I was getting a style cut - going from medium/long hair to shoulder length, with curtain bangs. The bangs are extremely thin, wispy and choppy. She didn’t take much care, and used thinning scissors the majority of the time for my bangs, so now the way they’re curling around my face is extremely unflattering and thin, compared to the bulk and thickness in the rest of my short haircut. My hair has been butchered. I didn’t feel as though she took into account my hair type or what would/wouldn’t work for my hair. I didn’t want a blow dry, but every hairdresser I’ve ever been to has at least given a quick dry off to make sure everything is even, and ALWAYS dried off the bangs to make sure they sit right. I felt very uncomfortable and she didn’t take any care to ensure everything was even, so as my hair is drying now, it’s looking worse. Now I need to try and book in with my usual hairdresser at a different salon to try and fix the damage that’s been done, and try to keep my hair tied up to hide this mess. I took a risk trying a new hairdresser - I won’t be coming back.

OMG this was the best hair salon I've ever visited! I got a bouncy blowdry and layered cut and all the staff were amazing! Very sophisticated place and I will definitely be coming back!Thank you so much Pam and Julianne!

Julianna and Susan are absolutely incredible colourists and stylists, giving me great advice regarding hair health and always providing exceptional service. I travel from Wollongong to do my hair at this salon!

Great hair cut and super friendly staff, back for colour 2 days later & still super great experience even tho I was running late

This is the only place where I can get a decent haircut. My hair is very thin and in other places I've been told I can'tget a layered haircut because I don't have enough hair". I've been here twice and both times Suzan has done beautiful and fun hair cuts. Today I also got full foils and she did an amazing job. Thanks
