Coming here to buy a violin. But the owner tuned my old one instead of selling a new one to me. He is a very experienced artist, not a businessman. Highly recommend him to everyone.

Honest skillful luthier. I got broken bridge and sound post to fix (the result of accidentally dropping the violin to the ground) and the luthier got it fixed within one day with very reasonable price (after I inquired 3 other stores, I surely knew what is honest good value service.)The luthier is straight forward, experienced and knows his stuff. Next time we have any violin problems, we will come back asking for help for sure.

Amazing guy! Great violin for its price, highly recommend this place. However a bit hard to find place, i suggest calling him once you are near the destination.

This man is a gem. I bought a violin from him in 2021. Last night I had an emergency violin situation, I sent a text, wasn’t expecting a reply as it was late but he did. He saw me at 8am to fix the violin so that my child can carry on with lesson at school. He didn’t want any payment when I asked.

Very pleased I found this place. The proprietor is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring about pairing the right instrument with the person .

Zai is a very friendly luthier. He has worked on my old violins including set-up, crack repairs and re-bushing of pegs. His work is very high quality and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him if you're a violinist looking for a Sydney's luthier to set-up or repair your violins.

When I went there, the owner was very honest about what I actually need even when it does not bring profit to him. Although he is standing there as businessman you will feel like he is your coach/teacher and father at the same time. Reasonably priced, whether you're a beginner or advance violinist this is the place to go to. If you ever need anything relating to violin, I would definitely suggest this place, he has everything.

Stop looking, You have found the place!What a hidden gem.The owner, Zai, is an absolute legend.Honest, friendly, kind and also just happens to be the number one Violin maker in Australia!!Yep.We had a good old chat,Particularly about a recent Cello restoration.So - out of no where, this lovely lady brought in a beautiful Cello from the 1850’s.Zai lovingly restored it over a couple of months.To match the grain in the timber he used some 300 year old Spruce wood from his collection.He had salvaged this wood in the 1980’s in China from temple that was being renovated.How’s that from some history into this instrument!Fkn amazing.Because I was so into this story, he shared some photos with me, so now I’ll share them with you.Enjoy.

He's honest in his crafts and his richness of knowledge was shown like a true maestro. The shop is also his abode and filled with options of violins from a quality brand new ones or vintage ones to suit your size, needs (budget), from beginners to advanced.
