Jon was recommended to us by Saffire Freycinet for our elopement. As we were traveling to Tasmania, we had no local knowledge and completely relied upon vendors to assist us with our wedding day. Jon was absolutely incredible in assisting us in the lead up to our day, guiding us on how to structure our session for the best photos and very kindly offered his help to ensure we had the best day possible. We are not easy to work with as we both dislike having our photos taken, but Jon made us feel at ease and in the moment the whole day, and made the most of every second to ensure we had the best opportunity for beautiful photos. We cannot thank Jon enough for his kind and professional service, not to mention the quick turnaround on receiving our photos back; they are a wonderful memory of a very special time. Jonathan photographed our wedding a couple of weeks ago and my husband and I are blown away with our photos!!! We have had so many comments from various people saying they’re the best wedding photos they’ve ever seen and belong in a vogue magazine. Not only does Jonathan take a fabulous photo, he’s very sweet, calm yet knows how to work a crowd with great directions. I could not recommend Jonathan more. He’s an all round nice guy and I hope to see him again at a friends wedding in the future.

Given that my husband and I both work in the wedding industry, we've dealt with a lot of photographers and choosing one for our own wedding was a big decision. I can honestly say that Jonathan is the best I've ever had the privilege of working with in any capacity.In addition to his stunning photographs (which speak for themselves), he's a wedding Yoda in his own right and an invaluable asset during planning and on the day. First of all, our wedding photos are AMAZING! Everyone who has looked at them has commented on the beautiful lighting and colour Jonathan captured in the photographs. Most importantly, however, he was able to capture those special, candid moments and emotions from the day. These wedding photos are so precious to us for obvious reasons and are made even more special because of the extremely high quality. The best part about most of these photos is that I didn't even realise he was there taking them - Jonathan is present, but not 'in your face' and is certainly aware of and sensitive to the fact that you want to actually enjoy your wedding day and not pose for photos the entire time (barely any posing required)!Secondly, Jonathan is just a true professional and an absolute all-round good guy. He made a huge effort to know the names of the entire bridal party and families involved, also making everyone feel right at home. A professional from the first moment we spoke to him on the phone right until we received the end product. He also made it incredibly easy to communicate with him which was vital for us as we don't live in Australia.No need to look any further - this is the guy to capture the gorgeous memories from your big day!

Jonathan photographed our wedding on April 1, and honestly - we could not be happier. Jonathan is an absolute professional, from the very first meeting we knew we were in the best of hands. He guided us effortlessly through the ceremony and reception, always checking in to see how we were feeling and going the extra mile to make sure he captured every special moment of our day. Jonathan captured our elopement at Saffire Freycinet in February, 2019. Jonathan is really easy to work with, he is calm and collected, extremely focused at his job but also very friendly and easy to talk to. He took care of all our special needs and even drove us to nearby locations for the photoshoot. He never asked us to pose specifically, and made us very comfortable. He was quick in his work, changing lenses one after another, bouldering over rocks, while shooting us. I was truly impressed by his ability to work with his gear, and being a hobbyist photographer I understand it’s no mean feat.The most important aspect regarding Jonathan’s photography that attracted us is his skill to play with natural light. He does not overly process the photos and brings out the real emotions on subjects in his images. We found many “good” photographers produce a lot of noise in their images, or tend to gravitate towards more black and white photos, which isn’t the kind of style we wanted. Jonathan’s images are crisp but warm, and they make us feel like celebrities.Jonathan processed our images with unbelievable speed and we were drooling over them within 4 days from our wedding! The photos are so beautiful they make us fall in love with each other again :)The images are also presented with an online gallery and music, so it’s easy for us to share with our friends and family.We absolutely recommend Jonathan as the go to Tasmanian wedding photographer.
