Betty's Burgers

Came here with my partner on a cheeky date to enjoy some good burgers.We arrived and waited in line for an uncomfortable amount of time and made our order after about 15-20 minutes of waiting in line. There was only one girl manning the front which didn’t seem right considering how busy the restaurant was.After we ordered we sat outside and waited… and waited… and waited. We were given our drinks first which is standard practice in this restaurant but we had enough to completely finish their largest size drink that’s how long we waited. After about 50 mins of waiting we finally got one item of our food… the ice cream, which we requested to get after we had finished our burgers (they offered this option to us). The ice cream was quite good.The girl had assumed that we got our food already to which we stated we hadn’t. By this time I could tell there were a lot of unhappy patrons just waiting for their food.After an hour we finally received our food! Unfortunately, the quality of the food compared to how long we had to wait for were not up to par.The fries were flavourless, stale, and almost cold. The onion rings tasted nice but were also not hot.One of the burgers (crispy chicken) had tomato on it even though I requested it to be removed. The chicken inside was thankfully juicy, flavourful and crispy, topped off with a nice soft bun.The Shroom burger we got didn’t really hit the same as it did in the past. The mushroom tasted like it was microwaved even though it was coated in a fried batter.Overall, I’ve had much better from this restaurant chain, and have waited much less to get my food. The staff were friendly but didn’t seem too fussed by how long people were waiting. It seemed to me that the place was heavily understaffed.

First time trying Betty’s Burgers. I originally thought this place was a restaurant, but it is a more casual affair. For those familiar with California’s ‘In-n-out’ burger, this is a very similar affair. Selection is limited, but cooked fresh and with lots of healthy options (aka vegan and vegetarian) and at a very fair price. Definitely ask about ‘Betty’s special sauce’. Chippy rating 5/10 - while the chips are fresh they are more akin to ‘French fries’. Note that ketchup is served with the meal, but extra ketchup will cost you an additional $1 per portion - so if you are a sloppy ketchup lover bring some of those left-over packets from your McDonalds visit Lol.

The customer service by Joseph was awesome, my chicken burger and my grandson's hamburger were both fresh and really tasty.As for the kids ice-cream, it was truly exceptional!Well I be visiting her again? You betcha. Thank you team.

Children's vs adults chicken burger almost identical (who knew). A bit overcooked chicken though. Service a as rather poor on our visit shake was ready much later than the meal and had clearly been made a long time ago (all malty and runny). Not an enjoyable experience for a premium price will likely avoid in future.

Tried the Shroom burger and loved it! That was a different taste altogether. I expected that a mushroom burger would have a large fried Portobello mushroom, but this was quite a unique preparation. Nice!The decor is fantastic. By keeping the space open with minimalists design, Betty's have made the joint inviting.Staff are all young, and they make the environment lively and friendly.

Fries were good. Got the Betty’s Classic. The standards have dropped from when I last visited this store a year ago. I’ve always told everyone my favourite burger chain in Melbourne is Betty’s however it seems I may have to stop saying this. The beef patty which used to give the perfect amount of beef in every bite has decreased. Worst of all, the normally juicy and tender beef patty was dry with a lot of dry / fibrous bits in it. Very sad today.

Good burgers and friendly service.Always plenty of seating (indoors and out) and clean.My favourite is the kids beef burger with added pickles.

Could not recommend enough!!Served by MS and despite being run off his feet when they had 60 other burgers before us to make, He gave us the best service and food was out to us pronto!Will definitely be back as service by MS was spectacular and the food was great!Keep it up!
