Always a good dining experience. Great staff and food, dine on the grass, verandah or inside. Great outlook.

It's a bit off the Wide Bay HWY but the rout was scenic and worth the detour. The restaurant is only half the experience and the Irish pub atmospher and menu was great; we also got to wine taste at the front door and look through the local gourmet produce store.Prendergasts is well designed with wheel chair access and you can chose to sit in multiple locations inside or on the large veranda and adjacent garden area . We had 3 meals, mine was the Lamb & rosemary pie which was 4 + stars, my friends gave the seafood chowder a 3 and a 4 + star rating. It's not cheap but currently nothing is and I think we got value for money. All the staff were fabulous and I think it's a great over 50s destination. I didnt get time to look at the accommodation so I may go bak and review that later as it might be special.

Prendergast's Irish Tavern
Love this place, it's a real hidden gem. Beautiful outlook, great food, awesome drinks, amazing desserts and really helpful and lovely staff. The setting is fantastic, and if you have kids there's plenty of room for them to run around outside or in their fully fenced playground while you enjoy your meal on their deck. We liked it so much, we went back two weeks in a row and were equally impressed with their meals and service both times. Highly recommend this as a stop off if you're near the town, or it's worth the drive if you are stopping along the way on a road trip. Has some nice little shops too to buy jams, fudge, honey and cheeses all locally produced. Not to be missed.

We had a lovely lunch here, the food and beers were delightful and very filling. We enjoyed an informative wine tasting and took a few of their finer examples home. The atmosphere was relaxed with views over the lake on a nice sunny day.We would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the area.Cheers

A gem of an establishment tucked away in rural Queensland. This outstanding venue provides excellent hearty meals, great service at affordable prices in a picturesque vineyard setting. The staff are very friendly, obliging and efficient. All in all, a great place to visit. Highly recommended.

What a lovely place. Great staff, great beer and mostly lovely food. Definitely worth a drive out too if out this way. Bought some locally made chilli sauces also from adjoining shops and wife bought some wines from the cellar. We will definitely be back again.
