Coffs Harbour Diesel Service

This bloke is a joke. My Merc was broken down on the side of the highway and I rang him asked if he knows mercs and has the proper instruments to plug into it, said yes so I got it towed in. He kept the van for two days, changed the fuel filter, as he said he thought it was poor fuel. Couldn't diagnose it, but pulled the exhaust half off so I could drive it to someone else to use the proper diagnostic equipment and charged me $850 (filter plus labour) to tell me he doesn't know whats wrong with it. Then I took it to a proper mechanic who solved the issue.

Don't go here. I had injector problems and was told the injector signals get weaker and weaker with time and I need to take it to Toyota so they can connect it to the internet which makes the signals stronger. In hindsight quite hilarious, but they charged me $200 for this advice. Afterwards I explained my disappointment and gave them an opportunity to make amends, only to hear crickets. I took it to a place that doesn't believe in unicorns and got the problem sorted immediately.

8.10.2016I recently had a loss of power problem with my 2010 model tractor and as a small slashing contractor, no machine means no work.I did the ring around and Coffs Harbour Diesel Service was recommended by a reputable on site mechanic. Problem was I had used CHDS about 8 years ago to fix my Toyota Land Cruiser and I was not happy with the outcome. But I rang John the manager at CHDS and explained my situation and it was very evident that things had changed there. John understood my urgent need to get back on the job and was straight onto analysing the problem. His knowledge fuel injection systems was very impressive plus he's easy to talk too and a top bloke.The staff at CHDS from the front desk through to the technicians out the back were very friendly and helpful. John personally kept me informed of the work being carried out and the potential costs involved. I was invited into the workshop so I could be shown the problem with my injector pump.... now I like to keep my workshop pretty clean but struth this place is like an operating theatre with gleaming stainless steel and hi-tech computer equipment.End result is that my tractor is fixed and goes better than it ever has.Great job team!!!! this is the type of service that I will be recommending to other people.Boris Everson Slash-it Slashing Coramba.

Amazing john and his team are very down to earth caring people helped me and my partner out without hesitation. john made us feel comfortable with all our stresses from having to replace the injectors in our car.... Highly recommend these guys. Thank u heaps for your help.

I would just like to thank everyone at CHDS , for their professional advice , customer service , keeping me up informed from start to finish , attention to detail on the work that was carried out on my 2008 Nissan Patrol that has been up graded with a 6.5 Chev diesel . It was comforting to actually find someone that knew what they were talking about and went above and beyond what was expected of them . Replacing injector pump , injectors and correcting other problems that had been created by another workshop . It was worth the 4 hr drive to find a company that is customer focused , as John , Summer and all the staff in the work shop are . This type of service is becoming few and far between . Reliable. Highly professional. Well priced. Honest. Scotty went above and beyond to fix our 12 seater van. New management is definitely was better than the previous. We highly recommend them!
