Decibel Music School

Very bad experience with Decibel. Not recommended at all.My child is not learning instrument at Decibel since this term but still has three make up lessons left because the tutor can’t make it. They said it’s their T&C for no refund. After arguing for a long time, they accepted the refund but need to have ¥20 administration fee.They are happy when you’re in but when you’re out it’s not easy.

My daughter has been learning the violin for 5 years, and she absolutely enjoys coming every week. Giuseppe is a kind, patient and very professional teacher and has a wonderful cohort of teachers. She has Christine this year and has formed a beautiful bond with her. Christine is very encouring and positive, she's the teacher every child would want! I would recommend Decibel to anyone who wants to learn the violin.

My son has been learning piano since start of this year and is loving it. Ms Christine is an absolute gem, who is patient and enthusiastic. She is very calm and teaches in a way that is very engaging for young children.The admin staff are also very helpful and always very responsive when I have questions.I am a huge fan of Decibel Music School and would recommend the School to anyone wanting to learn musical instrument.

Really enjoyed my time at Decibel Music School - it allowed me to learn in a professional but relaxed environment. Giuseppe was an amazing violin teacher and I learnt many skills during our lessons. He was always very patient, kind and incredibly talented. Would definitely recommend to people of all ages and skill levels - the school teaches a variety of instruments (including vocals) so you are sure to find your niche!Overall an excellent experience!

My son has been learning with Decibel Music School for 2 years and he really enjoyed violin now. Especially during lockdown time, playing violin is a great way to relax. And teachers in Decibel Music School are all very professional and patient with children. I really appreciate learning here and highly recommend for others.

I had a great experience with Decibel Music School recently. We have a piano at home and my wife can play, but we never had a chance to sit down together with our kids and teach them properly. Teaching is a really time consuming job with need patience. After the trial class with Brenda, my kid is really keen to learn piano and has started to take interest in music. Im really glad my kid is interested in a new hobby. Thank you Brenda.Also the admin staff Natalie is really professional and a genuine person. I heard she is a mother of two kids so during our consultation, she gave us many good tips as parents.Thank you Natalie and Decible Music School.

Great place to learn an instrument, even as an adult learner. I chose the violin and have been with them for 5 years now. My teacher is Giuseppe and he’s fantastic! He has an organised way of teaching and progression so there’s always a challenge to overcome, but it’s not too hard for your level as to be demotivated to learn. I don’t think I would have progressed this far without him. Easy to adjust lessons as necessary if work or life in general gets in the way.

Giuseppe was the perfect choice when my son started his violin lessons in 2011. His teaching brought out my son’s enthusiasm for music which motivated my daughter to also pick up the violin. Kids are grown up now, and we still have lovely memories from that time. We would highly recommend Giuseppe to anyone who is looking for a great violin teacher.

My child was learning violin at Decibel Music for about a year before we moved home during the school term, and he still had a balance of two lessons to attend.They refused to refund the remaining two lessons, despite that I have explained thoroughly to the admin that we moved home and had to drive 1-hour ONE WAY in order to finish or make up my child's last two lessons.The fee for two lessons is not much, however, I really 'appreciate' how my refund request was handled by the business. If there is such a non-refund policy, that should not be considered as reasonable anyway.Based on what we have experienced, I have to say it is an unreasonable business, so that I would rate this business one star, because there is no such an option of zero star to select.

Decibel has been an incredible school to learn the violin for the past six years. There are many teaches in Sydney that teach violin but very few that can teach it properly, Giuseppe helps you understand the technique perfectly! The violin takes time and dedication, it's been incredibly fun and challenging so far and I've been incredibly lucky to be on the best path with Giuseppe as my teacher. As an addition Joanne is doing an incredible job keeping the place thriving and it's been a pleasure dealing with her over the years :) if I could give it a thousand Stars I would!
