I joined day trip to watch penguin parade organised by GoWest Tour. The tour guide Cloe is both energetic and knowledgeable. She is kind and helpful to people in her group. She really made our Phillip Island trip a memorable one.

Penguin start coming around 6.20 pm. It was quite dark by then. Photography not allowed near beach where they come out of ocean., neither it was possible in that dim light. Very few penguins came and our tourist bus departure time came near. Many people started coming out. On the way back we could spot some in dim street light walking towards the burrows.

Open space with a gallery for watching the penguins getting back from the sea to their homes along the shore. Entry for ticket holders only.

Very well organised for General Viewing. It would also be good to have marshals along the boardwalks towards the exit as people started taking photos, even try to touch them. Bizarre behaviour from such tourists.

Super cute little penguins. Freezing cold and windy in the winter months but well worth it. Getting to see penguins venturing out of the water at dusk and getting into their burrows is a great experience that will stay with you for a long time.In the visitor centre there is plenty of fun stuff too. Especially for kids as there is a great educational area.

Was told to wear extra layer of jacket. When I got there, I knew why once I google mapped the location. It’s facing Antartica! The place is beautiful. You will see penguins coming home to shore around 5:20pm and find their way home to shrubs. You will hear the penguins making different sound and just enjoy watching them.

It's worth to buy a ticket ($27.5 AUD) to see these little birds going back to their home. The scenery, animals and breath of the fresh air is awesome. If you come here during the spring, you better wear warm clothes and blanket. It's pretty cold after the sunset. It's worth to send time with your family. Kids will be really happy to see penguins.Disadventages of this place: No cash payments and no picture allowed.

So worth getting rained on! Sitting up on the beach you were so close to the penguins. There is no photography of the penguins allowed but they walk right next to you up the board walk. The visitors centre is awesome for keeping the kids busy too.

The view is spectacular when we waited for the penguins to return. Do take note in general that the penguins return at around 9pm depending on the season. Highly recommended to wear thick jackets as the wind can be strong and be there early to get good seating. There is no photography during the parade.
