Visited with friends on a Saturday night. Restaurant was busy and staff seemed frazzled, forgetting us numerous times. Food was just okay, unfortunately nothing stood out as incredibly tasty. Nice location beside the water, however there are other Italian venues in Brisbane with better fare and atmosphere.

We had dinner for my son's 5th birthday at Si Baby and the staff went above and beyond to make him feel special including a special dessert with candles and a game with the head chef!Food and drinks were delicious with a beautiful view of the water. We have been before and will definitely be back!

I decided to try this new restaurant based on the comments on a Facebook page of local residents.First of all, I believe that the 5 stars are deserved because of the great pizza and the potential shown. However, there are a few points that the management will need to address in order to retain the acquired rating.Location: Beautiful spot with a view on the canal. Moreover, no real alternatives in the area yet.First impression: We went there for lunch on a Sunday and the restaurant appeared to be fully booked, so we took a seat at the counter. It was ok, but clearly the team need a bit more time to get organised.Ordering: The girl behind the bar took the orders for the drinks and although she was really busy and had to make up for a few hiccups with the organisation, appliances, and stock, she always asked how everything was going and attempted to create short conversations discretely, showing confidence and initiative. Another waitress took the order for the mains, so two pizzas: Funghi and Salsiccia. The mains: The pizzas will look familiar to those who have tried a few Italian restaurants in the city. The dough is light, yet tasty, and the condiments are well balanced. The highlights were the smoked mozzarella on the funghi and the tasty friarielli" broccoli on the salsiccia (careful if you are on a date

Delicious. Prawn spaghetti is perfection. Nice to see more upbeat places embracing the peninsula. Great views, music, food was excellent with great selection of drinks to accompany. Absolute pleasure

Wow! What a surprising little hideaway. We were driving to another restaurant on the Peninsula and saw the pink neon across the water. We didn’t even know there were restaurants in Newport. We investigated and was able to get a table. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and shared, my daughter got the lamb ragú, an order of calamari to share (real calamari, not the cheap Australian stuff…get it…it’s worth it), and finished with a nice Tiramisu to share.Everything was flavourful and well above expectations and had wonderful conversations with the staff who were extremely attentive to our needs. My only worry is this place will become so popular we could never get a seat.

Went on a very windy Sunday evening and the lake facing door was locked! An earlier review might suggest why. Very clean, tidy, new and loud. Smallish menu with limited choices but all meals were reported as being tasty although my lamb ragout pasta was somewhat clumpy and undercooked in the middle. Prices were reasonable and portions were fair … the meals were delivered quickly and the young staff were enthusiastic and honest … some of the drinks were hard to pronounce! If you order the Chocolate churros make sure you have some vanilla gelato to accompany it.

Beautiful location and atmosphere settled into the precinct of Newport. Quite a pumping little venue that offers an array of cocktails and fresh Italian dishes. Overlooking the canals, on a perfect evening, it's the place to be. It does focus more on pizzas, not pastas, but all was pleasant on our evening as a group for sharing. If going for more of an intimate experience, it would be nice to see more pasta such as lasagne or cannelloni. Great vibe and will be back.
