Only thing that wasn't overcooked was the chips but they were over salted.Got the seafood basket for 2 everything was overcooked ,dry and the potato scallops tasted like cardboard.Don't go there.

If your after some seriously good fish or fish and chip....you can't go without trying this place....you won't be sorry....I do have 1 gripe.....if the board says it's 15$ then bloody charge what it says....or fix your prices on the board

Wow. What a gem. The batter is so thin, golden and crunchy I was amazed at how good it was. The fish was beautiful and flaky, prawn was massive and juicy, chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the bug is so soft and delicate. The seafood box for one is a good way to taste a bit of everything. We also tried the calamari and potato scallop and was a bit disappointed as the calamari was a bit chewy and the potato scallop was too thick so it was a bit raw in some parts. Nevertheless would still come back for the fish and chips which is amazing.

Asked for a fish burger and they had run out of buns so got the burger without the buns and included chips and a coke. Lived the Hoki and fantastic chips i think the best chips I've tasted so far in Gladstone

First fish and chips in Gladstone, I ordered parrot fish and potato scallops.I don't think it was parrot fish, but it was delicious. Best potato scallops I have had in a long time.Little on the expensive side, but was worth it.

Best fish & chips I've had in a very long time. Fish was lovely & fresh with a nice crispy batter. Both the fish & chips were cooked well in clean oil. Reasonably priced, can't wait until I next visit Gladstone again, will definitely return. Highly recommend stopping here.

Visited the Hot Box on a number of occasions in 2020 whilst travelling in the area, and have recommended to our friends. We were really looking forward to sharing the experience again with friends on our recnt return visit to Gladstone.Unfortunately our much anticipated return was not the same experience.After spending nearly $70 we were so disappointed with the fish and chips. The chips were soggy, the fish dry and overcooked, and the taste was dominated by the taste of old and overused oil. Sadly it all just went in the bin. Not sure what went wrong this time but would take a lot for us to return.

Gladstone Fish Market Hot Box
We were in Gladstone for the weekend for our sons AFL, and we were looking for a fish and chip joint. I found them on google so we went for a drive. When we got there it was a little deceiving. But the food was amazing. Staff are polite and prices were reasonable. Will return again
