ilanga Nelson Bay

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at ilanga with two other couples. We had looked at a number of places to stay in Nelson Bay and although it was more expensive than the alternatives, we eventually settled on ilanga because the apartment looked so amazing on their website. We were not disappointed. I would say that ilanga is one of the few places we have ever stayed where actually being there is better than the website pictures. The apartment is beautifully furnished, extremely spacious both indoors and outdoors and is very well maintained. The appliances and equipment in the apartment all look brand new and are very good quality and brands. It just feels very classy. The views from both inside and outside the apartment are panoramic and beautiful. We were fortunate to have had great weather and so we spent a lot of time on the enormous outdoor area where there are multiple sitting areas and a great BBQ. The outdoor area is huge. One could probably have eighty guests there and it would not feel crowded. The Cote D’Azur complex itself is very well maintained and has a heated pool which we enjoyed a lot too. The apartment is also incredibly well located and really is just a few minutes from everywhere. So yes, it was a relatively expensive place to stay but it was worth every cent and we would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone looking for quality accommodation in Nelson Bay

It was our first time in Nelsons Bay and they provided useful insights into Nelsons Bay for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend staying here.

Hands down the best experience we’ve had on a family holiday!! A truly phenomenal apartment and location! The only place we’ve ever stayed where the pictures simply don’t do it justice. The views are beyond incredible, the amazing deck and interior is breathtaking! We cannot say enough good things and highly recommend staying if you get the chance! Absolutely perfect!!!

Ilanga is simply beautiful. Styled with modern furniture and elegant touches. It gets the most beautiful sun light pretty much all day and the deck is enormous. Whether you’re sitting in the lounge area, on the sun beds or in your bedroom, it’s so relaxing. I can’t wait to go back.

DIVINE. From the moment you step through the door it is a WOW experience. Absolutely stunning, upmarket, pristine, straight out of a house and design magazine. No expense has been spared with the furnishings, appliances, linen and it is even nicer than on the website (hard to believe). And the little things too - the smell of fresh lillies that greets you when you walk in the door, coffee pods, discrete extras like rugs to keep you warm, scanned instructions on how to use things, fairy lights on the deck. Hey Google" kept us entertained with never ending music. As for the view .... a bit of paradise awaits you as you walk out onto the enormous rooftop (and I mean enormous) that has a few quiet spaces so everyone can have some alone time by either sitting under the canopy to keep away from the sun

Spectacular! First class accomodation that is spotless and so well equipped. It has the best of the best furniture, kitchen equipment and media. We loved the position as it’s close to the Marina and Woolworths. The views are sensational and the we found it so relaxing to spend time on the massive patio and in the luxurious penthouse. We would highly recommend this classy, practical and sensational spot and hope to return for a longer holiday the next time!

Very tidy and lovely apartment equipped with everything you need. Comfortable beds, a really nice bathroom and a spacious lounge and outdoor deck area. Location is very convenient, near shops, restaurants, grocery stores and public transport. Host was super friendly! We had a great stay!

What a sensational apartment! It is luxury at its best. The first class facilities provide everything you could possibly need. Both inside and outside areas provide plenty of places to relax in comfort. The view is gorgeous and the sunsets and sunrises were fabulous. The location is handy to everything and the service provided by Pam and the thoughtfulness of Ivan was appreciated. Looking forward to a return trip!

My husband, baby and I stayed at Ilanga in October with my parents. The penthouse apartment was spacious, had gorgeous views of the water and was beautifully decorated in a contemporary style with high quality furniture, appliances and décor. We were able to watch the sunrise each morning from the comfortable living area and each morning sunlight streamed through the apartment. There was ample space for lounging and dining both indoors and on the spacious balcony. We enjoyed the attention to detail and special touches, such as the fairy lights on the balcony, qr coding system on the appliances which linked you to instructions for use, google home device, herb garden in the building and more. Dining in was easy to do with the range of appliances and kitchen equipment provided, and dining out was a pleasure too with so many options at your doorstep. All the essentials were steps away – woolworths, chemist, coffee shops, gelato and restaurants. We also enjoyed some beautiful walks just minutes away from the apartment. The apartment was well maintained and the complex itself was too. The beds and linen were extremely comfortable. Looking forward to staying here again soon.

Ilanga is the most fabulous apartment in Nelson Bay. We stayed recently for 4 wonderful nights for a family catch-up and a wedding anniversary. The location is perfect with Woolworth's and BWS just metres from the front entrance. The local village vibe of coffee shops and homeware store's to have a browse are well stocked and interesting (I bought two really gorgeous pillows). The apartment is so well appointed with everything you need for an enjoyable stay and the decor is divine. The kitchen has all the top end appliances and we loved the coffee machine and the automatic toaster, loads of wonderful platters, crockery and cutlery for entertaining. We stayed in the master bedroom with ensuite which had a king size and a very comfortable bed with lovely linen bedspread and pillows.As it is the penthouse it was whisper quiet which is lovely when you want to sleep in.The view from the deck is outstanding and sitting there sipping champagne is a wonderful way to start a holiday.Pam on reception is a wonderful lady and made our entry to the apartment a breeze and nothing was too much trouble.I would highly recommend a week or a weekend at Ilanga as you will have a truly wonderful escape.
