This place sucks to walk past, really stupid and unnecessarily bright flashing light to have to stand near.

I did like Jaycar unfortunately this time nobody really cared the young staff have no knowledge of what’s in store . I told the female staff member I’m not tech savvy at all, I needed a wifi extender she sold me a useless device that didn’t work I called for technical support unfortunately the young person I spoke to had no experience with the brand to trouble shoot - I asked for a refund and returned the device . I went to Harvey Norman they asked the right questions e.g do you have a big house , how far is your modem from your devices , do you have black spots , gave me all the reasons why and educated me on what I needed. I bought the Deco AX1800 home mesh wifi system $425 I connected it myself took less than 10 min it is AMAZING thanks Harvey Norman for your customer service. The moral of the story is Jaycar, some of your customers don’t really know what they need and not tech savvy at all - they come to you for advice, and help .I could have spent my money with you but you failed . More training is required for your young staff and senior staff need to have their finger on the pulse with staff supervision and customer relations……. I felt like nobody really cared about me!

Came in only vaguely knowing the items I needed for a project a sparkie friend is helping me with, Tahlia was so helpful and patient! Left with everything I needed and a couple of spares just in case for a fraction of the price I was expecting.

I walked into Jaycar last Tuesday a complete beginner at LEDs. I came with a list of questions in my head and the blind hope that someone there would be able to answer them. Luckily for me an amazing employee named Ryan went above and beyond expectations to help ensure that I got the products I was picturing and that the circuit I was planning on building would actually work. He was tall, blond and wore half round glasses, and is the reason I am definitely coming back to this store. He showed me how to test LEDs and spent at least half an hour with me helping me pick sizes, colours, brightnesses and voltage, constantly going back to the wall of LEDs to grab more and test more so I knew exactly what type of light they give off. He also spent time showing me how to cut my own lengths of wire from the self-serving wire bar, and helped me do the math required to buy the right resistors for a 4.5 v battery pack and the teeny tiny LEDs I was purchasing, which he said he knew from studying physics, something I think was really useful to explain to me how things worked and what kinds of things I would need to be careful for. Overall he was friendly and made me feel comfortable and didn’t belittle my lack of knowledge. He asked how familiar I was with concepts and products before he would explain them and he didn’t assume my knowledge level or talk down to me. His customer service was extraordinary and I think he deserves commendation for the effort, time and genuine care he put into helping me make sure my project works. I will be a returning customer to this store now, and someone should tell him what a splendid job he did.

Had to pop in twice this weekend. I'm a serial window shopper at these places but I usually go in with a plan to get something specific. The staff seem to have a sixth sense for when I've finished playing with the toy Battle Bots and dreaming of 3d print jobs I'd do and are having trouble finding that one specific component or consumable I need to finish my project and have rarely been unable to find me an in stock or replacement item.Never going to be as cheap as AliExpress, but they're open Sundays and you can get hands on with your prototype materials before you buy them.

Excellent customer service from (I cant remember her name, Tessa? Talia?). Stayed on phone with me for an hour. Felt v confident in my choices (200w solar panel, 100 Ah battery and battery box). Thanks!!!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff did an excellent job helping me set up my portable power system today.Be prepared to reverse in/out of tight, but ample on-site carspaces.Highly recommend.
