Better food than other pubs around. Plenty of options in vegetarian also and it keeps changing.

The Reuben was so good, it was criminal. Really friendly service, lots of outdoor seating. Just a damn good pub.

Good locationSmall room but good for our one night stay prior to cruise.Lovely bathroom.Take ear plugs as traffic outside very noisy.We ate at hotel's bistro- very nice food and friendly staff.

Love this pub...it's still a proper pub, with character and its own unique style. So unique. If you're showy, focused on looking good or trying to show you're having good time this isn't the pub for you...if you're genuine, quirky, come from all walks of life, eclectic and accepting of others then this could be your pub. Food is great and staff are fun... the whole place is just special.

A yuppy student Pub. Food average but at top end of price scale. An Aussie pub but don't expect VB or West-end draught, mostly from what I saw Craft beer. Great place, I'd presume, if your under 40 yo.

Bit of nostalgia revisiting and old haunt - I was always an Austral patron in the 90's but The Ex has retained its charm/authenticity more. No pretentious, no BS!

A great place to go for a drink. Staff very good and you don't have to wait to be served even when is very busy. Good for people watching and whiling the evening away.

Beers cold as. There is a toastie machine here. Is there Cooper’s pale ale on tap? Yes. Is there an ATM inside??? Yes. Beer garden you say? Yep….outdoor area to be a cigi but brain?……yea mate. Old guy in the corner (there’s always one here) where he’s on his 8-9th mid.Exeter. 5 star ⭐️

Don’t bother! Pub is cold, unfriendly and filthy! Dropped in to have a drink and lunch. No welcome! It seemed that serving customers was an effort! Each of the staff need to get a personality and give the pub a good clean!
