Tried to have a document witnessed and this place could not be less accomodating if they tried. The texting obsessed receptionist and staff with clearly nothing going on doesn’t seem to want or need any extra business. Went to Kelly Lawyers down the street who were more than helpful.

We engaged this firm back in 2018. From the beginning service was very slow. We were given an excuse of a personal nature so we gave them the benefit of the doubt but nothing changed. I later found out that my Aunt and cousin had engaged them for simple matters which hadn't been resolved for years. If I had a dollar for every time I had to followup with phone calls and emails, I'd be rich. Then lawyers have the audacity to charge you for such things. Other than poor service the other big red flag for shoppers is the lack of professionalism and value. When we requested a quote we were promised that it would not exceed a range of a thousand dollars. Not including disbursements. I can hand on heart say that we did half of the work for them. A) because they took so long it was better for us to do the work ourselves and B) and lack of common sense. For example; there are many examples, this is just one. They were writing letters to a department at Citibank that didn't exist anymore. And would have continued sending letters had I not out of curiosity called Citibank to check on why we hadn't heard from them. All up I estimate we spent 20 -30hours of our own time in resolving many of the issues which fell under this firms responsibilities. Why didn't we leave? Good question. We thought about it for sure. We stayed because we thought that it wasn't worth switching and getting the next lawyer up to speed. We were wrong, death by a 1000 cuts is worse than starting over again. We were charged the maximum range in the quote plus almost double in disbursements. There was no consideration given when we disclosed the work we had to do on their behalf. Be warned. Don't let the cheaper price entice you. You will pay much more emotionally, with your own time and then they'll hit your bank account as well.
