Hillview Farmstay

This is the best farm stay by far that our family of four kids have stayed! Animal feeding, fire pit, tennis court, amazing views, clear clean water and accommodation that was out of this world! Nothing was too hard and the star gazing is amazing! Make sure you book in the buggy ride as Ms Barbara was amazing taking the kids on a roller-coaster up and down the hills! The kids had a ball! They all cried when we left so if your looking for an experience for the kids this is the place! Ruth your running an amazing place there that you should be proud of!

My family had a great time at Hillview Farmstay. We loved the animal feeding that was done every morning and afternoon and sitting by the fire in the evening. Also recommend the buggy ride. The staff all created a very positive atmosphere.

My family and I stayed in the birds nest cottage. It was a perfect spot to rest before travelling again. We were able to bring our dog with us which made it even better. Our baby girl got to see some animals which was the highlight of our trip.Super comfortable cottage and friendly staff. Highly recommend vsiting this lovely farmstay.

We stayed in the domes, they were super cosy and very clean/well kept. The caretaker was super lovely and feeding the animals was definitely a highlight. Would recommend for a chill relaxing holiday

We spent a night at Hillview to break up our trip from Sydney to Bright. It couldn’t be more conveniently located, the accommodation was clean and inviting, and the facilities were just what the kids needed (pool and play things on the tennis court). The animal feeding the next morning was great fun for all the family. Highly recommend Hillview!

Excellent pet friendly & kid friendly stop just off the highway.Very comfortable stay, very convenient as it's right off the highway, but you don't hear a huge amount of highway noise (some is to be expected!). We had goats right at our patio, which our son absolutely loved. Minimal animal noise, never heard any of them. Patios are enclosed and secure which is also great for the dogs and kids.Great price as well.

Had a great and memorable experience. To start with our schedule, even though we had to change our schedule at the last minute, Ruth was accommodating and worked with us to get a positive outcome. Staff are knowledgeable and welcoming, and explained all the details. Rooms are of great value and all the activities are enjoyable. Good amount of options for the included Breakfast. We have enjoyed the Buggy ride. Tennis court is nice to spend our evenings and have bit of physical activity.

Hillview Farmstay is a little piece of paradise! It is conveniently located just off the highway, almost halfway between Melbourne and Sydney, making it a great place to stay and split up the trip or just a great place for a weekend away.Pros:-Feeding the animals and getting to cuddle with the baby goats and lambs-Beautiful scenery and the glorious sunsets- Very helpful and friendly hosts- Unique and very clean accomodation (we stayed in a dome/igloo tent)- Great ‘unplugged’ family time- Awesome large fire pit to roast Marshmallows on- We went in May, so it was very cold at night but there is a reverse-cycle aircon and oil heater to keep you warm.Cons: (just one)- You can hear the trucks on the nearby highway, but I just put some rain music on to drown them outThanks Hillview for an amazing family stay and one we will remember and talk about for years to come.

Beautiful location, everything was perfect. The room spotless and the staff are the friendliest I have ever met. Jo, Stephen and Raegan (hopefully spelt correctly, my apologies if not) made us feel very welcome and let us cuddle the new baby goats at feeding time which made the trip extra special.

Found Hillview Farmstay on tripadvisor and google. Reviews looked good and location was what we were looking for. The Cabin was fine with modern bedrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Buggy ride was a hit as was the animal feeding and the firepit. Kids loved the animals even though we were worried they would be a little to old. Generally a great stay.A few notes on improvements.- The main air-conditioning unit thermostat did not appear work (was on or off only)- Three light bulbs were out so light was a little dim- Knives and bowls only had three sets rather than four- the BBQ ignition not working (lighter provided)- upstairs shower flooded floor which I found was due to drain being blocked with hair- Coffee plunger in room, however only instant coffee provided- No dishwasher and rooms expected to be vacated with all dished washed and put away- Hume highway white noise due to location disturbs serenity, especially at night
