The Plainsman Motel

The service from The Plainsman Motel was nothing but professional. We had to change our booking from other accommodation due to information we were given at 9:30am when I rang to confirm booking. This hotel then emailed me couldn’t even ring to say we had to upgrade room at a high rate and added increased the per fee by $10.The Plainsman Motel is extremely well priced and thankfully couldn’t get us into a room for the 1 night we required.Whenever we are to road trip in the future we will always be booking with this Motel.Accommodation was easily located, well presented, clean and more than comfortable for our lay over night.

Travelling with my dogs, The Plainsman Motel was terrific. It is a country motel, that is clean with wonderful friendly and helpful owners/staff. It was full the night we stayed and it was very peaceful. The room was spacious and ensuite also roomy. Toiletries provided.The bed was comfortable and for being fully booked it was so quiet.Within walking distance of many cafes, pubs and clubs of Forbes. Also close to lovely walk around Lake Forbes for my dogs and I.With tea coffee sugar and UHT milk provided an added delightful special treat was the provision of delicious biscuits made by Aussie Biscuits a Forbes business. So tasty.Wonderful service and helpful. Thank you so much for providing dog friendly accomodation.

Arrived in Forbes late at night after travelling from SA to QLD. Decided to give them a call as they state pet friendly available rooms. Got in straight away, parking right out front of the room with grass outside the door for the dogs to go toilet. Nice and quiet with such a friendly lady at the front desk who made sure we were comfortable and had a safe trip. Can’t recommend them enough if you’re travelling with dogs. Rooms were nice and tidy too.

I’m sorry to say that the 2 bedroom apartment certainly is not worth $230 per night for 2 individuals, I understand the motel went through flooding a while back and it shows in the bathroom and kitchen which are dated from maybe the 1990’s if not before that . I think the photos of the apartment you have on your website should be actually showing how it is now and not from before the flood.Very disappointing

Comfy beds, warm and quiet rooms in a pretty good spot.Only issue I had would be the fridge being a touch small. Other than that, brilliant spot to stay.

The rooms are great inside . The location is great. You have a RSL across the road , as well a great place to have a bit to eat & drinkThe staff are great as well The room are clean & tidy

Renovated now all looks good for us. The internet seems ok as well from our room. Close to across road and bakery. Food places all walkable as well.

A big shout out to the owner and staff.Unfortunately had car trouble and needed to organise details with NRMA, we were allowed to leave our stuff in the office until things were sorted. We then stayed in the motel very clean excellent service.Whilst we waited for the repair to be done on the car the next day they allowed us to stay in the room until the car was fixed and ready to be collected at no cost.Good country service, great people very much appreciated.Definitely recommend staying here, we will be back.Many thanks Steve, Debbie

I stayed here for 1 month for work my time here was fantastic! nice big rooms, everything was clean and tidy and the staff were all very hard working and friendly! i would definitely recommend!

From booking to staying everything was great.They even turned the air conditioning on prior to us arriving which we appreciated being that it was a very hot day. Clean tidy and comfortable bed, what more do you want. Will stay here again. Laurence
