Paul Dan Automotive

Never used Paul Dan previously, but was having some issues with my car (it wasn't starting properly, so a pretty serious issue). I called up and they took my car straight away, despite being funny booked, and found the issue, which was something that other mechanics had never routinely fixed. And now car works well. Very open communication, thorough examination of the car, and I really felt like I was looked after. After this experience, I'd have no hesitation in recommending, and I'll certainly be back!

12 months ago I went to Paul Dan to have a significant amount of work done on the cooling loop in my car. New radiator, couple of hoses, new thermostat, etc. After a few days and all the work it came out to almost $2k.12 months later, the car has begun to have cooling issues again. Overheating, coolant missing (probably because it's being boiled out of the overflow), can't use the A/C. Taking it to a local, trusted mechanic resulted in us finding out that the thermostat was actually never replaced. The car still had the genuine, factory-provided thermostat in it that was significantly tarnished (thus indicating it was more than 12 months old).Both lying on an invoice for work that had been completed, as well as charging a customer for work that wasn't done is extremely untrustworthy of a business. As a result, I unfortunately can't recommend this mechanic to anyone for any car-related work.

Matt is a genius when it comes to fixing mechanical issues. Thank you for your brilliant work. I had an idle issue with my subaru outback for about 5 years. Took it to 6 or 7 different mechanics and no one could fix it. Gave it to Matt for 2 days and he fixed the difficult issue. Best mechanic I have ever dealt with. Thanks again Matt

Staff were very helpful. My car which had previously had a poor repair job from another mechanic needed significant repairs and Paul Dan walked me through very thoroughly getting this resolved at a reasonable price. Will be definitely be taking my car here for servicing and repair work again in the future.Location is a big plus being close to public transport.
