Adelaide River Show Society Caravan Park

3 of the shower/toilet facilities were out of order. Could use a bit of a renovation. Very close to road, if you're not a deep sleeper this might not be for you. Won't suggest this for a family camping weekend however, if you paricipate in show events, or just need an overnight rest spot, this is perfect.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. We ended up here when Darwin was in lock down. The facilities are standard, washing machines, pool, power and water but I found the people who ran the place made it a good laugh for us. You have to remember that you are at a rural race track. We are a younger couple and (as we always find when travelling) find that a lot of the older caravanning people don't talk to us but Jeff made us feel welcome and was always there to have a bit of a joke and a laugh with. They put on a random gold coin donation sausage sizzle one night then opened the bar and restaurant the next. It was a good break from bad Covid 19 news and a bit of a de stress. We used this place as a base camp to visit everywhere from Katherine to Litchfield while we were stranded. Good 4g service and close to Adelaide river town which has a Pub and General store. Definitely recommend it. I give it the stars because of our experience not because of the standard of the facilities or the location or price.

We spent time here both on our way to Darwin and back, 7 days each time. Great shade under the trees or under a canopy. Water and power to sites, sullage to a tree. Don't dump it straight onto the ground, you idiots. The next person does not want to park over your sullage. Think! The restaurant was okay (on out first visit) but the swarms of flies put us off. It was not open on our last visit due to the end of season. Pool was sublime. Toilets were clean. Not much in town. Not much of a town. Food prices extravagant. Fuel prices the cheapest on the Stuart! Dump point in town.

Great stop, a little gem, great food and while having a meal a guy playing guitar. Would come back here again.

We have stayed in the past couple of weeks. Friendly caretakers who are really trying to improve the surroundings. Easy reach of all the necessities. Take extra lengths of hose and power cords.

To be honest, it's not very well kept.Long grass in the unpowered section and 70% of the amenities block near the unpowered section was out of order.We moved on rather than stay

Show ground caravan park old but affordable

Lovely, quaint facility with solid amenities. Megan and James were caretaking during my time there and they were very hospitable. First time I have found a spot where I could set up my tent under shade, which was super helpful during this dry season.Also got to meet a cheeky emu who has decided this is his home! Super tame and chilled out guy.Would love to spend another night but sadly need to move to next destination.
