Lake Lyell Camping Area

A lovely camping spot. Plots are big and roomy and the bathrooms are very nice. Staff were very friendly and the water is so beautiful to wake up to.

Reviewing not the main lakeside camping area but a secondary camping space 1.5 kms ahead of the main lakeside entry point.Even though that is also lakeside but there are marked sites you can prebook. Just go.find camp....type. poorly managed spots and no regulations on people to follow general common-sense. Music was ON till 3 AM like a music festival/ DJ night by a big group that night when I camped. Spoiled the whole experience...Sensible people can make an average place worth it but it can totally otherwise too. Never looking forward to be coming back this backside area. Only advisable to book your spot in the main lakeside marked spots which are way better for $27.This backside was $20 a night booked at the front office at the main lake entry point.Toilets are drop-type and in miserable condition.What not to complain about!!Badly managed inside dirt roads, that the careless SUV owners like to drive fast on ....dusting the whole surrounding right into you.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and was sad to leave, it was one of the best campsites we have stayed at!The reception staff cannot do enough for you, very welcoming and friendly.Would highly recommend to families and couples too!

Stayed one night on a drive through siteAmbience beautiful...Amenities dreadful.. looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days..Very quiet at night .. Staff friendly..If you love fishing /boating and roughing it .. this is the place for you

Great place to use as a base camp for 4wding around Lithgow. Great views of Lake Lyell and Nice swimming in summers, boating and fishing all year long. Nice views of the lake, campfire allowed most of the times. Paid hot showers and flushing toilets.

Very spacious camping allocation and close to water. fire pits also really good to contain fire with running kids around. Showers can be busy in the morning so better go little later. Clean, good views.

Best camping spot in NSW. Best spots are the one right by the lake. They sell ice on site. Easy to get there with a 2wd. Unfortunately no kayak hiring over there.. last time i went the inflatables were removed.

What an awesome campground, multiple camp place with an the facilities. It a very busy place, there some great camp spot. All week need to be booked online, there are some great spot next to Lake but it first in best dressed. Really enjoyed this place great views and closed to shoot off great place
