Went in today as it was empty. Was seated without comment by a surly guy in 30's. I asked specifically, just have longish hair tidied up". Within minutes this was obviously ignored. Now too late. Heavy comb dropped on head (no apology) electric trimmer corner into ear and neck (no apology). A furious 10 minutes later a bog standard short haircut. Still no conversation.$27.00 handed over and I told said barber "that was the roughest

I don't know what to say, other than I wish I had stayed with my usual barber… this place looks like a traditional men's barber, but they have employed clowns to work there, most likely English backpackers who don't know the first thing about cutting men's hair.I honestly almost walked out, but I thought surely they would have employed people who have skills and experience to cut men's hair…I was very very wrong and won't question my intuition next time (that's the one silver lining I get from this very bad experience). I had a guy who looked completely like he didn't want to be there, and looked like he was off the street, like he was on something, I'm not joking. He didn't say more than 2 words, but had an English accent (yes, the one closest to the door, short and balding fair hair, looks like he works out his arms).I told him explicitly what I wanted, he completely disregarded that, and at one point when I looked concerned at what he was doing and checked the line he was cutting by turning my head to check in the mirror he even said to me, is that even

I have had two very contrasting experiences here. Unfortunately the more recent visit was so bad that I won't be returning despite my first positive experience.The first time I had my hair cut by a Japanese man who gave me a great cut, had just the right amount of good chat and listened to what I wanted and spent time getting it right. I was skeptical of trying a new place closer to work as I have quite a modern cut but he really delivered well.The most recent visit was awful. It sounds very similar to some of these other reviews - it was the guy closest to the door with an english accent. He seemed to be spaced out of his mind and spent all of 8-9 minutes cutting my hair. By cutting I mean mostly used the clippers then with about 3-4 brisk strokes of the scissors he managed to cut my hair on top to a 3rd of what it was despite me saying 'keep all the length on top, just thin it out slightly. No thinning

I have been getting my hair cut by Lee for nearly 5 years, always spot on. On the odd occasion he hasn’t been there and I have had someone else cut it I’ve always been more than happy, wish I could say that for other barbers I have tried in Sydney. Highly recommend Lawson’s Men’s Hair

Definitely give it a miss. I gave Lawsons a try yesterday and have to say am very disappointed. Especially after growing my hair for such a long period of time, only to have it hacked down to a hair cut that I definitely didn't ask for. I was very specific and we even spoke about the actual hair cut I was after longer than it took him to cut my hair. I do not want to name the guy who cut it because that's not fair on him but he did not listen to what I wanted and just cut it the way he knew" how to.Don't get me wrong the guy was lovely and very friendly

Had my hair cut here many times. Always good. Yesterday, had hair cut by Hiro, nicest fella, and great cut. Can’t recommend him/the owner more. Bravo. Keep doing what you’re doing guys.

We tried here this afternoon for the first time, for a haircut for my 7 year old son. Unfortunately it was not a great experience. The gentlemen who cut my sons hair was quite unapproachable. I’m OK if he doesn’t want to chat, but he came across really disinterested. In addition to that, I asked for his hair not to be cut too short and that did not happen - it’s super short and my son really doesn’t like it. Disappointing especially considering it was $34 which definitely isn’t cheap for a child’s hair cut. Sadly we won’t be back.
