Beware of Sunshine Ford: Dreadful Customer Service and Deceptive PracticesMy recent encounter with Sunshine Ford, a dealership claiming to provide exceptional service and honest deals, left me utterly dissatisfied and disillusioned. The experience was marred by their appalling customer service, deceptive practices. I strongly caution against considering Sunshine Ford for your vehicle purchase, specially if you are using a fleet company or agent for e.g in my case CarConnect. Here's a breakdown of my grievances:Abysmal Customer Service: Sunshine Ford's customer service was nothing short of a nightmare. Their staff displayed a lack of professionalism, knowledge and a dismissive attitude towards customer concerns. Whenever I sought assistance or had questions to sales member and manager, I was met with either no reply, indifference and a complete disregard for my satisfaction. It was clear that their priority was anything but providing a positive experience.Unwillingness to Register Vehicles in Another Driver's Name: One of the most frustrating aspects of dealing with Sunshine Ford was their stubborn refusal to register a vehicle in another driver's name, even when that person was authorised and legally eligible to drive the vehicle. Despite having all the necessary documentation and meeting the required criteria, they displayed an unreasonable and inflexible stance, causing unnecessary complications.In conclusion, my experience with Sunshine Ford was deeply disappointing. Their dreadful customer service, deceptive practices, made it abundantly clear that they do not prioritise customer satisfaction or uphold transparency in their dealings. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by looking elsewhere for a reputable dealership that values its customers.

While travelling from Victoria my 9 month old Ranger went into limp/reduced power mode and errored, I called the service department of Sunshine Ford and spoke to Chris, his response was “how quick can you get it here” I was already on my way and 10 minutes later had Chris and service tech Kye plugged in and clearing the fault code and checking there was nothing obvious. Kye gave some advice on where he thought the fault was and a couple of simple steps to safely get us back home to Victoria where the car can be properly fixed.We purchased our cars based on after sales service from our dealer in Victoria. If I was looking to purchase based on the same on the Gold Coast, I can’t speak any higher of these guys.

I had booked my car in 7 weeks in advance to get the side mirror replaced. No text or email the day before my car was to get fixed so I called sunshine ford to check the part was in and they could replace my mirror. The person I spoke to said yes the mirror was in and they can replace it so bring your car in tomorrow and we can fix it for you.The next day I dropped my car in at 8am, the lady who booked me in said it will take about 3 hours which was fine. After 4 and a half hours had passed I thought I’d call and see if my car was ready to be picked up. When I spoke to the guy in the ford service department he said the mirror was not in stock and they had to order it. I tried to explain to him it was as they told me it was.When I returned to sunshine ford to pick my car up the guy said you’ll have to come back tomorrow and we can order the part and fix it.So I said I’ve waited 4 and half hours and you didn’t call to tell me it won’t be fixed today and you also lied telling me the mirror was in the day before.The guy did not care and ordered the part expecting me to come back the next day.I took my car to Victory Ford in tweed and their amazing team fixed it the next day.You guys could learn some customer service skills off Victory Ford.

I know that there are some people out there who have had negative experiences with their car and hence with the dealer.I had a difficult experience with my car being fixed but I realised that the dealer/service personnel were doing their best in keeping me informed of the issue. They were always professional in their dealings with me, totally understanding my frustration at having my car fixed. Whilst I was not happy with the delay in parts being available, it was understandable given the current supply issues.Thanks to all at Sunshine Ford for your help and assistance. I hope to see you again at my next service.

Customer sales service is atrocious. Having emailed the franchise and left a voice mail asking for a call back, I eventually managed to speak with someone after 2 weeks and a further phone call.I was told that the lead time for the model I was looking for was 6-12 months and booked a test drive for 4 days time with Sash.Upon arrival Sash was not at work on the day and I was told bluntly that the lead time was ”at least 18 months”. I was told that the “Jess” at the call centre had no idea on the timing of deliveries or when Sash worked.Don’t waste your time trying to deal with these guys.

We feel the Customer Service & attention was excellent from the Salesman Gavin Jones, aftermarket advice Gina Stoodly to the Sales Manager Sash Koren all were very pleasant to deal with. The delivery service was well above our previous experiences with other companies when purchasing a new car, a new caravan & a friend when he was buying a new boat.
