Lots of professional cinema productions gear available here, very knowledgeable staff who are very friendly and helpful. Great place if you are looking for this sort of gear. Terrible place if you love this sort of gear and have no money. My advice is to stay away if your in the no money category, to many awesome toys here & it will just bring you pain.

Bought a Sound Devices audio recorder from Pat - offered a good fair price and sent and delivered the next day (even with strict COVID-19 restrictions). But found my device had the dreaded battery sled problem (keeps falling out with a slight tap). Emailed Sound Devices in the US - very prompt replies but suggested a fix that I couldn't get to work and I thought was not as per design (i.e. likely to break the contacts). I called JBS and eventually spoke to the audio manager Georgina who eventually took a punt and sent me the battery sled of the previous version after I told her that other users on Facebook said that the older sleds work and the newer ones were faulty. Received the sled the next day and bingo! Worked perfectly. I compared and documented the differences between the old working and faulty sleds and sent an email to Sound Devices. The support representative gratefully thanked my contributions and will forward my detailed analysis to QA, etc. All good.
