Pretty much the best sushi you can get in the north Illawarra. Friendly, attentive staff, authentic Japanese decor and excellent ramen. Great prices for the quality of the food. Not licensed though, so BYO.

I didn’t want to leave a bad review because I order here a lot but PLEASE train staff to roll properly! Every time we order here the sushi is so poorly rolled, ratios of the ingredients are always different and it falls apart everywhere… sushi isn’t meant to leave the plate looking like a dogs breakfast. Shellharbour does a much better job.

Poorly made sushi, asked kitchen how long on one order of medium sushi after waiting 50 minutes when I was told 10, and replied with “very long time” and laughed. Fish is no good, never honest about wait times. Don’t waste your time going here

Went there today, my food on the menu cost 14$ but when i went in, it cost $14.50, i used a eftpos card Because of the $14+ surcharge.

Best sushi around Woonona area, better than the one in Wollongong. The price is the same as Wollongong but you get the better quality food. Atmosphere is great and staffs are lovely.

So happy with our meal. Great to have a good sushi place in this area. Sashimi pieces were generous and the prawn tempura was crispy and not oily at all. Definitely coming back

Great authentic sushi, great variety and quality on their menu. I hear it tastes better when the moons out, not sure if that's true or not.

The sushi was very badly made, it was hardly rolled and kept falling apart making it hard to eat and an absolute mess all over the table. The spicy beef sushi didn't have a lot of flavour but was overly spicy with no flavour it just burnt. The curry noodles were also very bland and barely any vegetables as well.The waitresses kept putting the plates in front of one person on the table when we mentioned we were sharing and was very unprepared to take out order when they approached to ask.Overall very unpleasant dining experience.

Moon’s Sushi in Woonona is much better than other restaurants of the same name in Wollongong and West Wollongong. The sushimi is fresh and expertly prepared. Their yakitori is sweet, without the floury taste of sauces at other places. Their Takoyaki is actually better than some places I went to in Japan. Tempura and crab croquettes are really crispy and delicious. If you’re really hungry or want leftovers order the dinner bento.I also really appreciated the cleanliness, hand sanitizer, contract tracing list, and table spacing. Service staff were also wearing masks and very friendly.
