Medical & Dental Centre Blunder Road Oxley

Practice is no longer pulk billing. Booked my appointment on-line a week and a half ago and there is no mention anywhere about this. The waiting room is filthy and the 30 second consolidation you get with the doctor is normally about half an hour late.

Experience was quick as usual. Actually got seen earlier than my booked appointment. It would have been a 5/5 but when the doctor used the same ear piece in my health ear as my infected ear I was a bit concerned over what other pieces could be getting reused.I'm on antibiotics now so I'm sure I'll be fine but it didn't really feel professional.

Blunder Road has a walk in appointments however as of recently it costs about 20 dollars -pay 60 get 39 back or similar, not Medicare 100%. On Monday I needed a short appointment just to get a medical certificate. I waited for 2 hours and was then told that the doctors were in meetings and only saw walk-in patients IF they had time. I made an appointment for the following morning and unfortunately waited one hour again. I like that you can see a nurse, get a blood test, get an image taken in the same place but the wait time for walk-ins was ridiculous. The staff do their best herding cattle at a very busy centre, but as a patient I also feel the care is really just about a script and a medicalcertificate" . It's rare to have a deeper discussion about health as the doctors are always overwhelmed by patients and may have fatigue of patient care which would make sense in this facility. I have a different doctor so I just go there if I really can't get in with my doctor and most definitely I respect the doctors at Blunder Road they do their level best at a very over run facility."

I've been using this medical center for 10+ years but as of yesterday no bulk billing available anymore, was asked $60 for a standard visit. Doctors seem more concerned about getting you out of the door quickly than actually helping you. Will find somewhere else to go. The app check in and the machines on site are a waste of time.

Pros: Reception staff are usually great and prompt. Can recommend Dr Win Thein - she has been my doctor for at least the last 6 years from counselling to routine checkups and always prompt. Conveniently located, reception staff are usually friendly and prompt.Cons: long wait times (not the doctor’s fault), many great doctors come and gone.Unfortunately, I will miss Dr Win Thein, she has been an outstanding doctor during my time as her patient.Recommendations: set up a corner for families with children:- little toys that are suitable for children from birth to keep them entertained whilst waiting to see the doctor, and magazines or TV channels in place for the general public whilst waiting to see the doctor.

No longer bulk bills. Now you get to pay $60 to wait hours after your pre booked appointment. Had to walk out after an hour passed with no doctor seeing me as I had to pick kids up from sport. For some reason I thought charging for appointments now might make the wait time shorter. Maybe it’s me being silly having those expectations of seeing a doctor before 6pm for a pre booked 5pm appointment that I have to pay $60 for. No f*#ks were given by staff as they were busy. Won’t be back here. Not blaming anyone in particular but what a poor experience that I would not have minded as much if it was bulk billed. Made another appointment at another centre for the next day. Will see how it compares.

Went for a pre booked appointment, was told after reaching the centre they have changed structure to mixed billing. will have to pay full amount out of pocket and Medicare will return half of it. Reading other comments seems some doctors still do bill billing. Was not explained properly what is their new billing structure. To get a repeat prescription written by a doctor paying around $70 is too much

I can’t give zero stars! Telehealth appointments are a waste of time as they don’t call you at the appointed time. Called reception twice, and second time was told I couldn’t be put through to a doctor, then after making a fuss she puts me straight through!You have to chase your own results with the doctors as apparently they’re too busy to check, or they send you a text two or three weeks after the tests to discuss results. By then you’ve been walking around with an infection for two weeks! Craziness! Now I have to find a new medical centre because this one is so inefficient!!

I needed an urgent appointment and called at 7.05am and waited for 40 minutes on the phone and still no answer. I thought they where most likely getting smashed by patients so I tried my luck by driving down in person. When I walked into the centre it was a GHOST town bar 1 person. I couldn't believe it. No phones ringing off the hook, no patients waiting, nothing.This is a disgrace and it needs to be fixed! No excuse! I'm surprised no one's reported them...

Doctors made me rock up 3 times to tell me they cannot assist and brush me off to a dermo.1 for the appt, 2 for the scan, 3 for the results. My Dr friend did the job in few seconds for free. Dont come here they just want to take your money and not help. Absolutely useless
