Busshari Authentic Japanese Restaurant
It's been a year since coming back to this place. This used to be a nice Japanese restaurant but I was very disappointed by the quality of the fish served tonight, it was not fresh and somewhat fishy smelling. The soft shell crab in the spider roll was inexistent in some of the rolls. Originally we ordered a rainbow roll but that order was forgotten. I was introducing an overseas visitor to an authentic Japanese restaurant" but it was a let down. I will not be going there again considering the price there was no value nor service... The pickled ginger tasted off. I hope the owner works to improve the quality of food and service... Such a shame ...."

I saw many good reviews, but I thought what I ordered (which was somewhat basic) wasn't that good.I forgot to take pictures of all my food!The chicken teriyaki took forever to come, I was ready to ask about the status but the service was not that good, they were walking past me quickly and not asking how things were.I was not impressed with the chicken teriyaki, and was disappointed after waiting so long for it.

The staff was very friendly and patient and walked me through the menu. The miso soup was divine! Try the spinach. It’s a must. The waiters smiled all throughout the night! And the green tea was great too.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Busshari, an authentic Japanese restaurant located in Potts Point, and I must say it was a fantastic experience.My son Sebastian invited me to the restaurant, and we started our meal with a classic Japanese staple - miso soup. It was the perfect way to warm up our stomachs and prepare ourselves for the delicious meal ahead.For our appetizer, we tried the crispy soft shell crabs, and they were absolutely amazing. The crabs were perfectly cooked and had a crispy texture on the outside while being tender on the inside.To accompany our meal, we had some saki, which was expertly paired with our food. It was a great way to enhance the flavors of the dishes we were having.For our main course, we shared a spicy tuna roll with avocado, cucumber, and chili. The roll was incredibly fresh and had a great combination of flavors and textures.To finish off our meal, we had a glass of whiskey, which was a perfect way to cap off a fantastic dining experience.Overall, I would highly recommend Busshari to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's definitely a must-visit restaurant for anyone in the Potts Point area

Good quality traditional Japanese food in the local area. Sashimi is very fresh. The only disappointment was the karage chicken where the flavours were slightly muted. Staff very friendly and would recommend!

Pros:Sashimi are fresh.Customer service is good.Cons:1. Slightly over priced with the given grade of this restaurant.2. Portion is small (5 dishes ordered for 2 ppl, not felt like anywhere near full)3. Menu choices are limited.4. Dishes are just ordinary, lack a bit of spark. just a bit plain in both tastes and presentation.

The atmosphere is very dark, but this makes it cosy rather than bleak. The menu is a combination of traditional and modern Japanese cuisine. They have a wide selection. The seafood was excellent. I had the tuna hand roll and the teriyaki king fish. Both were delicious. The side dishes were great too. The spinach comes in a think satay sauce that I could eat with a spoon. Well presented meals that were quickly delivered. I would recommend ordering a few dishes if you're hungery. There are many too choose from and they are fairly small. Excellent dinner spot.

Stumbled onto to this and it was a gem find.The staff were so nice finding us a table as we didn't have a booking.The food was amazing and seemed to be prepared with care and love.The sashimi was fresh, the grilled eggplant with two types of miso was so good and the duck was pretty amazing as well.
