Autobarn Townsville

I went into auto barn with intent to upgrade my car stereo system but upon arrival I hear a customer saying they had only done half a job and hadn't fully completed her stereo upgrade which was an instant worry. I continue onto the store and tried to look around still considering doing the upgrade but I was met at the door by the absurdly loud sound of the staff member standing at the speaking blasting music talking not even interested in helping me.and when I tried to get their attention they where rude and basically just spoke louder to each other over me. As a result I ended up deciding to can the whole idea and I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone visit this store

Had speakers, side door pods and hideaway 10 inch sub/ amp put in my 79 series cruiser.Damaged my window tint, was replaced at their expense. Went back again as pods were incorrectly fitted and large gaps and screws falling out. Happily repaired while I waited by manager I think. Went back to have amp retuned as they suggested. Some cowboy walked out with a screwdriver, turned the dials and said shell be right. Took about 30 seconds. Should have left it the way it was. Went back in again and spoke to Damien. He did what the other guy should have done. Tuned it properly in about 15 minutes and even did it to the music I listen too, all the while by explaining the importance of correctly using all three dials to correct x over/ frequency, etc. Thankyou Damien. Love the system and sounds amazing. I have changed my review from 2 to 4 stars.

Went in to buy a test light and was having a bit of trouble finding them, so I asked a young team member where they are. His response was they are somewhere around here just look" I asked to speak to someone else that might know where they are again I got the response "no we are too busy". I always came to this shop because of the customer service but after today they have lost a customer for good"

I’ve had the privilege of being serviced by Damien at Autobarn at their Garbutt store a couple of times now. This lad has gone above and beyond both times he’s worked with me. The man literally seems excited to find solutions for his customers. Autobahn Garbutt is now the ONLY place I’ll go to for auto parts. Thank you Damien for taking care of my families car and offering unrivalled service that you just don’t see anymore. I really appreciated it.

Walked in Monday placed an order for MSA mirrors. They were shipped and arrived Friday and installed same day. To the team at Autobarn Townsville. Thank you for your professionalism and speedy work. Also thanks for the knowledge and sound board for ideas. Highly recommend to go see the team for all your needs.

I have been learning about my Jeep and getting it trip ready - The staff at Autobarn have made this a dream and helped with roof racks, airbags, second battery, lights. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They put me totally at ease and always have a solution.

I purchased a multimedia head set. With a few hiccups because of my car, I found the service and communication excellent as they resolved any issues. Thank you to Cameron and his team

I didn’t even want to give them one star, but I had to to get to be able to put my review in After six weeks of being stuffed around to have out Apple CarPlay installed They installed everything except the reverse camera which we had paid for when we went in to see them about it the manager then tried to put it back on to ours that we hadn’t paid, even though we showed him a receipt when we had paid to have it in and installed he tried belittling us by saying oh wait, I’ll just take it out and give you your money back once that was settled. We came back the next day and they installed it but still left the old reverse camera in there. We asked them to explain how to work the the functions of the Apple play they didn’t even do that. Didn’t set up the reverse camera lines because he had other stuff to do what a joke would never ever recommend this place to anybody.

Got dash cam from here and I got great customer service and got the dash cam installed pretty quick. Couple weeks later I had go back to autobarn as the gator dashcam wasnt working properly. Should of read reviews before going in. :(

Originally went in to upgrade my head/stero unit and was told by the staff (Darcy) that they would be able to remove my old head unit, reversing camera and navman while installing the new headunit and reversing camera all for the agreed price. After picking my car up after the install I noticed that my old reversing camera and navman was still installed. After questioning staff the manager came out very rude and unprofessional, swearing at his own staff and me. He then stated he would not complete the work as he would need to be paid extra. I asked to have a contact number or email for his manager and he refused to provided any contact information.
