MARG. Studio

We engaged Marg Studio to completely redesign the layout and interior of our heritage-listed c1864 farmhouse. We were planning a renovation but didn't know how to get the best out of our tricky space and were totally stuck on how to maximise the spatial layout. Emily listened carefully what wasn't working and what we needed. From our first meeting we knew she understood our end goal, and steered us through to a final design that on our own we simply couldn't have achieved. Having scaled drawings that we can give to our trades is brilliant. Particularly liked that we could choose just how much of Emily's services we needed for different aspects of the renovation. The process was fun, exciting, challenging and worth every penny. We were so impressed with Emily we also engaged her Interior Design services to create a beautiful formal living room in the c1864 part of the house. Could not recommend Marg Studio highly enough!

My experience with Emily was AMAZING! I could not have been happier with what Emily envisaged and then brought to life. Her ability to provide measurements and ideas and work cohesively with my joiner to create the end result was just inspiring. I could not have done it without her.My favourite part of the design process was when I first received the concept drawing from her and I started seeing my vague, wishy-washy ideas come to life! Highly recommend!!!

We enlisted the help of MARG. Studio’s founder Emily because our apartment had a rather unusual feature for apartment living in Sydney - space! Having purchased a 2 bedroom apartment, that was previously a 3 bedroom apartment (with the third bedroom converted to a dining room and now a redundant hallway) we knew that we had floor space to play with, we just weren’t sure how to optimise it and that’s where Emily came in.After meeting with us and conducting a site visit, Emily presented us with two impressive floor plans options. Emily really made a conscious effort to understand who we were as occupants, how we use the space (or would like to!) and that was reflected in the designs. For example, we love cooking and entertaining, so knocking out the dining/living/kitchen walls to create open plan living and ensuring the kitchen wasn’t sectioned off became important in our designs.Emily is not only super professional and knowledge but a genuinely delightful person to work with. Big fan of her ethos too - Design once, design well!
