The Hagen Arms is committed to supporting our local farming community and the world class foods they produce. Best pub around great beers on tap changes regularly and supports the locals the food is amazing took the whole in-laws out for dinner there was 10 of us service was great and food even better highly recommend people get around this pub.

Lovely country-style pub. Menu looked tempting. Our lunch was superb, good servings and very tasty.Two things to mention, no one returned our call to book in and one staff member was pretty disinterested in her customers. Overall great experience.

A stunning, short drive from Hahndorf. The pub was built in 1848. Love. Hearty cuisine while also contemporary. Wine list as long as your drinking arm.

Fantastic food, simple menu but high quality ingredients and food done well! Beautifully refurbed old pub with rustic stone and brickwork and multiple fireplaces

Really lovely country pub. Well worth the drive from Adelaide. Food was excellent as was choice of beers, gin and wine. Staff so friendly. We shall be back and bring more friends. Thank you!

Unless the Chefs have changed since we were back in Australia in November, this was the best pub meal we had in our five week trip. My understanding is both that Chefs are fine dining background (me too).The food that we ate was perfectly cooked and the portions were large, and we actually shared the main course with sides. The wood oven cooked broccolini was a perfect accompaniment to the chicken breast atop a romesco style chunky tomato sauce. In all my years of eating out at restaurants around the world I have never had a chicken breast cooked so perfectly... superb!!I'm genuinely surprised by some of the comments about the food, maybe it's because Echunga is a little bit more out of the way than some of the areas in the hills...Well done chefs and I hope you put that chicken permanently on the menu.

Hagen Arms was recommended to us for great food. I was surprised as I’ve driven past many times and never considered it.The inside is beautiful, the rooms aside from the main bar area were a bit dark and cool for me but were popular with other diners so it’s personal preference I guess. We sat in the main bar area and had 4 adult meals and one kiddy burger that was huge! The food was absolutely delicious, we each had a different meal and whilst hubby said his schnitty was just “ok” the rest of us LOVED our meals. We had the fish, gnocchi and steak off the posher menu, and the schnitty off the standard one. Drinks were good and service was on point. We’ll definitely head back next time we’re in the hills.
