I rang Harris Park today to seek assistance in obtaining some stump socks and found their service to be below quality, according to the office staff there you must be on a NSW ALC register to be offered or receive service..I have been to many limb services across Australia and never have I found the bad service the NSW does NOT have..QLD, WA, SA, VIC and NT will assist and comply with all amputees regardless of the State of origin of the amputee..NSW needs to learn from these other States..I am NSW Born a Disability Support Pensioner registered in NSW and find them to be uncooperative.

I just completed the process of getting my new prosthesis at OAPL Alexandria. Being a long term amputee and having a complicated alignment I have found the skills of the prosthetists to be highly personal and professional. I have two people that work with my specifications because of my complications and this is an individualised service. I’ve been wearing my prosthesis for 3 weeks now and it’s challenging breaking it in but it’s part of my process and OAPL understand and support me in helping me to get through it. Due to covid there was a delay but that didn’t stop them from putting in the time to get it finished Thank you Natalie and George
