Laundromat Washers & Dryers

Well that was a waste of time. 20c coins only to hang to $1.I know not to go to this one now.

What a pain to get coins in this area! Everyone was super unfriendly and not even the woolies was happy to change.You definitly need to have 1$-coins before you get there.Washer was working. But then put 3$ in the dryer 3 and it was gone. Called the number on the wall and noone answered or called back.

Good clean machines and your clothes do actually come out cleaner

Needing a laundromat on our way out of town after free camping, we spotted this on the highway on our route south. This looked easy to get to but that’s where the good review ends.Disappointed to say the least, no front loaders, older top loaders that take $1 coins only and 4 coins per machine. Two washing machines didn’t spin properly (one of my three loads and another lady’s). No coin machine when I ran out of dollar coins to use the dryer. On the positive side, I did ring the service number and a tech turned up and offered to re-spin the washing in a different machine but with a destination to get to it wasn’t much help. I accepted a refund and used these four golden dollars to start one of the four dryers at $1 per 7.5 minutes (noting two out of four were taped up as out of order). Choosing the warm setting as usual and checking the dryer mid way I found it wasn’t warm at all, it was cool, cranked it to hot which I never, ever use but on checking, it was still cool. The tech was still there so we tried the only other dryer working, but it wasn’t heating up at all.So a reluctant one star rating from one very disappointed and now upset traveller taking home wet washing.Laundromats provide a valuable service for people from all walks of life, for all sorts of reasons. I’m glad I wasn’t relying on this one as my only option.It’s all very well to provide refurbished old machines, give them a lick of paint with a brush and charge good money for them, but to have gear that is not operating properly (2/6 washers and 4/4 dryers) is so very unacceptable.This is one of the few laundromats we’ve come across that doesn’t have payWave, is coin only and only dollar coins at that, hasn’t got any front loaders, and, has nowhere to get change.
