Australia Post - The Entrance LPO

On multiple occasions when I have visited this particular post office, The employees there have been very unpleasant. They are unhelpful when I have wanted to post parcels. Below are some of the cases :1) They do not offer to tape up the parcel when I have bought the boxes at the same time. In my experience, this service has been provided by every other post office in Australia that I have used.2) When I have asked them to tape up my parcel, they have rudely replied that it is not their job.3) One of the male staff who is very elderly is very dismissive and always seems to be annoyed when serving customers.4) When my wife when to the postoffice to collect a parcel with a tracking number the same elderly gentleman said to her that it was too hard of a job to find it on that day. This was 4:40pm. The gentlemen then just stood there silent without offering any soluting until his colleague reminded him that she'd sorted the parcels earlier and he'd find it easily.5) Other staff display an attitude of being overwhelmingly busy all the time and annoyed at having to serve customers.

Always courteous and friendly I've never lost a parcel yet when sent to these lovely people.

I'm putting a 1 star rating because there isn't an option for 0. If you are visiting the area i highly recommend going down the road to the Toowoon Bay or Long Jetty LPO's. I have never experienced anything like the appauling customer service, the poor attitude, the willingness to be so unhelpful and rude and the awkward vibe that smothered the shop, in any well known buisness, ever. If this was any other sort of business that ran off customers coming back by choice, it would not be standing. They are lucky that a post office is a necessity!

Happy to update my review as the new management has certainly turned this post office around for the better. New and existing staff are very happy and joyful and helpful. Thank you. I literally dread having to pick up parcels from this location as the staff always treat customers dismissively and with annoyance, as if we are interrupting their day. They have sometimes even said that it will be too hard to find my parcel - before even looking for it - only for it to be right in front of them on their parcel shelf.

Under new management (thank goodness). Ive dealt with two new staff members & they offer a very helpful & pleasant transaction every time I go in. I hope customers see these new reviews and go back to this PO, you won’t be disappointed.

Went to their post office and the lady serve me and I ask for a international express envelope very calm and she shouted at me and throw the envelope in front of me. So I fill up the envelope and gave it back to them. While I didn't realise that I'm filling up a wrong envelope that she throw at me. Worst post office I've ever been to

The delivery guy made a mistake about my parcel by confusing two post officees location(where should I pick up). On the card, it showed i should pick it up from the long jetty one, while actually the parcel was in the entrance. Anyway, when we dealed with the problem, the attitude of the staff from different post office were different. We think the entrance one is more nice and professional.

Since the start of 2020 they have really improved the service. All the grumpy staff have left. New staff are friendly and helpful. So they have gone from 1 star to 5 star in my book.
