Wonthaggi Park Lane Holiday Park

Advertised set on a huge 60 acres but most of that is residents access only. Most of the park is permanent residents, all of which were driving too fast through the park. On check in office staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful.The amenities were clean and tidy and the camping sites were large enough to fit our group on 2 sites. However the camp kitchen does not have hot water. One of our group had difficulty with the washing machine and was advised initially to just go into town to do washing instead of helping, thankfully another staff member did provide assistance and got the machine working.

This location is perfect for exploring the town centre and all it has to offer. We opted for the glamping pod, and it was the perfect choice for our needs. Despite its small size, it's equipped with everything you could want, including a microwave, fridge and TV. I would highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay, with all the amenities you could need.I also want to mention that the entire area is very well kept and clean. The staff clearly take pride in their work and it shows in the care they put into maintaining the grounds. We also made good use of the camp kitchen, and it was a pleasant surprise to find it so well-equipped. It's clear that the owners have thought of everything their guests might need during their stay.Overall I am glad to stay with them and highly recommend it to everyone

Lovely staff. Amenites clean with great sized showers. Indoor heated pool ..bonusfor those cooler days. Great location near town but doesn't detract from the park's tranquility.

It is disappointing that Pau*a the site manager was extremely inappropriate by emphasizing extra charge $150 is required if excessive fur is found in the pods for our golden retrievers when we just arrived and about to check in.We already notified them that we’ll be coming with our golden retrievers for two pods by paying extra fee. This lady emphasized multiple times that we will be charged extra if there’s excessive fur. This makes us feel extremely uncomfortable about this as we are already aware of the policy and the rules.She also called us a few times when we were driving and on the road just to confirm our ETA without an urgent matter. However it’s already mentioned on the website that we can check in anytime after 2pm. We arrived at 04:40pm and it is advised we only need to call them if we are arriving after 5pm. This lady started calling us at 3:53pm and we were already on the way. We are on a relaxing vacation so this makes us feel being rushed not relived at all and makes the whole trip being unpleasant and in a bad mood most of the time.Having said that, the pod looks nice and clean. Just be aware that it maybe a lucky draw to pick a good staff or not.Updated: Initially we rated this place as three stars but now we had to update the review as one star again because of the horrible customer service from the Pau*a the site manager just now.Pau*a called us a few hours after we left and accused us of taking their bowls and plates, claiming that the cleaners could not find the items, without checking on previous guests nor listing the available items prior our check in. We are 100% sure that by the time we arrive the pods there were already missing plates and bowls. We then went back immediately and requested them to check our luggage.This is absolutely ridiculous and we would never come back again because of this manager.Poor site manager we know your tricks and there’s no way you can take advantage of us and trying to charge us something that we did not do.

We camped so cannot comment on rooms, but the pods do look cosy and cute. Large flat site. Amenities outstanding, large, clean and well maintained. Nice easy walk into town.

Over the Easter break, my friends and I rented a small cabin. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to par, and we noticed that there were no hangers to hang our clothes. Additionally, the bathroom lacked hooks to hang our clothes, although the kitchenette was satisfactory. The cabin looked good on the website, but the reality was quite different. I had hoped for more given the price we paid. If you are seeking activities for children, this may not be the ideal place to go. Overall it was ok.

Amazing park with excellent facilities. The camping area with camp kitchen etc is fantastic and provides lots of safe space for kids to play.The indoor pool is great and all amenities were kept clean and tidy.Above all the staff were absolutely fantastic. They gave us veggies from the garden to cook up, set up a sprinkler outside our tent for the kids to run through and play with and helped out straight away anytime we needed something.Location is fantastic with beautiful beaches nearby and the new park right across the road.

Richard and I had a great 5 days here in our tent . Great facilities for tents ( excellent kitchen and showers ), the entire campground is quiet , staff are very helpful and genuinely friendly . AND they make excellent Barista coffee which you can then drink in a cute coffee corner . The grounds are very central to the entire area with quite good eateries in the Main Street . Highly recommended

This is like a caravan park in the middle of a retirement village. Which makes for a nice, quiet atmosphere. The facilities are excellent and camping spots are well maintained.

I stayed at Park Lane Holiday Park in Wonthaggi for a few days as I relocated for work purposes. The park is clean, tidy and quiet, the Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The glamping pods are really awesome to stay in, I would most certainly recommend staying here.
