The BEST curry around. The food at Rajbhog is consistently good, tastes great, decent prices and friendly service. Always the same staff and they are very friendly, even when under the pump at peak dinner time.

Forced to write a negative review after ages due to really poor discriminatory service lacking basic common sense.After a long day, we walked in for a quick family dinner with my 4 year old. Although we could see at least 5 empty tables, the waitress apologised that we could not be accommodated and I was perfectly fine with it.However, after 10 mins another couple walked-in without reservations and they were immediately accommodated. We had already ordered takeaways and by this time the owner enquired with us and immediately he realised their mistake. I am giving 1 star just because the owner expedited our order and he thought of offering a free drink as a gesture.Ironically, two tables in front of us were still empty and they didn't even offer us to sit while they could see my toddler was getting a little restless.With this attitude and focus on customers(especially young families), good luck and wish you all the best.

Went there for dinner over the weekend after a long time and was disappointed with the food just like Jane from the recent reviews.Seems the new management is not able to maintain the standards set by the previous owner who built this place over a period of time. Tried the tandoori and methi chicken and both seemed to lack the flavour and seems to be prepared in a rush. The only saving grace was the gajar halwa

Unhygienic place. Menu books were sticky to start with, but I ignored. Found hair in the food, told staff but they did not bother much. Waiter told me that this never happend in the past eight years (someone legit reported hair found in food check pic attached). Waiter was rude. Never going back again. Not recommended at all.

We came here for an early dinner on a Thursday night around 6:30 and we were the first group in. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and promptly seated and offered complimentary drinks..a nice touch.There was a lot of variety on the menu with an emphasis on chicken, lamb and vegetarian dishes.We ended up ordering the weekday $25 banquet for the two adults with a couple of extra dishes for the kids.All of the dishes we had were very tasty and we'd happily come back again.

Extremely friendly staff, especially Ritu, including a very welcoming and helpful atmosphere. The food was amazing and I’m looking forward to making this my go to Indian restaurant. Not too spicy which suited me great, would recommend to everyone. Food is authentic and beats the other take aways out of the water. Thank you!

My initial impression looking in from Anderson Street was that the restaurant was closed, but it turned out they just weren't that busy and the entrance door was at the back where there is a decent sized carpark.As we were using a gift voucher we thought we'd ask if they would accept it before actually occupying a table. The guy at the front counter said they don't, without even checking, even though I'd checked on the website of the gift card issuer and this restaurant was definitely listed. Anyway we were about to go elsewhere but I thought I'd ask a 2nd time and get them to make sure, at which point they got an older fellow to come out of the kitchen (presumably the owner) and he confirmed that we could in fact use this gift card. Happy times!Regulations to do with the chinavirus were being followed, although we were made to look at the menu on our mobile phones using a QR code which I didn't like at all. I find this quite annoying and I hope it's not a practice that becomes mainstream.Upon being seated we were given a couple of complimentary pappadums, as well as being offered a complimentary glass of drink each, which was certainly a nice and unique touch, and made up for the fairly surly and at times aloof-seeming vibes I got from the two men who had served me up until that point.The waitress who served us was lovely, however.Food tasted very good and I didn't feel unwell afterwards (I sometimes get a bit iffy with Indian restaurants!). The Chicken Tikka on a sizzling plate was especially impressive. With the Samosas, Chicken Tikka, a meat and a vegetarian curry, and two serves of rice, the two of us were pretty full. In fact we probably could have got by with just one serve of rice to share. Serving sizes weren't massive, but I didn't feel they were tiny either.This was an honest, nice restaurant that provided reasonable value and tasty food. Ambience could be improved but if you're craving Indian food in the eastern suburbs, then consider this place.

Disappointed with the meal as Rajbhog has changed hands last year and we had eaten here many times over many years. We ordered the Butter Chicken it was only warm and no flavor and the sultana and nut basmati rice was cold and no nuts. Not the best but we will try again another time.
