Didn’t have drinks here so I can’t comment on that. The food is below average and if your hungry don’t bother coming here cause you will wait close to an hour. The wings and burger tasted like they came from a frozen food aisle. The roasted veggies were just smashed up potato that you would get served at a hospital. Can’t recommend the place for food. But hey maybe the cocktails will be fine, can’t imagine it’s hard to mess that up.

We were enticed by lovely atmosphere and setting the of this restaurant with the intention of ordering dinner and plenty drinks. After getting entrees we left to go to somewhere else as the experience was that disappointing. The service was underwhelming, and our entrees were terrible (garlic bread and “Creole’’ meatballs) which were obviously frozen and store bought. Getting an under-poured wine was the final straw, and we left for another restaurant immediately after. Disappointing.

First of all I went to this restaurant for its beautiful design then I chose it by the formula the lunch burger+fries but I was quickly very very disappointed. The chef cook that we saw from the room was asleep and we could see the fries coming out of the frozen package but problem he didn't have enough so he had to go and buy some in a store next to the restaurant. Then after this waiting while we were the only ones in this restaurant comes the arrival of the burger. I'll leave you some pictures because I have no words to describe it. I can only notice that the cook has no training because a real cook has self-esteem and would never dare to serve that. The only thing between these 2 slices of bread was the low quality steak I would say minimum 25% fat and the fries are cardboard. So conclusion even if there was nothing in the burger, even the products used are not worthy of a restaurant.

Beautiful decor and staff were friendly and helpful. 2 of my stars were for the prior points. One star on the actual food, it left alot to be desired. The deluxe burger consisted of a bun, 2 lumps of meat, 1 piece of cheese and the smallest scrap of lettuce known to man (see photos for reference). The serve of fries equated to a small McDonald's amount but cost $5.50 extra. Brisket was well cooled by the frigid mash underneath. Nachos were soggy.. Chicken n Waffles were tasty, but can I suggest using smaller plates, it will help it look like you are serving decent portions. Probably wouldn't recommend this place to friends.

First time here - amazing food! It's impossible to regret their signature dish. We had the chicken'n'waffle and beef brisket, and grinned with satisfaction after each mouthful. Glad we didn't bring the kids though - we'd be walking home! Prices (not moderate) did not match portion sizes (on the small side), but perhaps average for South Brisbane. Would come again.

Went here to celebrate a friends birthday. We waited a while to get our meals which didn’t worry me overly so as I was just happy to sit and chat. I order the barramundi. Overall I was quite disappointed. The portion size was way too small, I walked away hungry. The presentation was very lacking. No pop of colour, very bland and not very appealing to look at. The fish was tasty enough (very small pieces though) but the rice was undercooked and slightly crunchy. I did however enjoy the chicken waffles that a friend had ordered for us to try. It was very tasty. Wished I’d ordered that for myself. I honestly did feel like I got value for money. I wouldn’t come back unless some big improvements were made on the food.

As an American in Australia, it’s rare that I find food that genuinely reminds me of home. Tried out Bourbon Street for some corn bread, chicken & waffles, and jambalaya. It did not disappoint. Atmosphere is great, staff are lovely. Highly recommend

We ordered the beef burger and roasted vegetables they were both disgusting. The photos talk for themselves here is the feedback for each dish.Roasted vegetables:- very soggy- bad/dull flavour- unpleasant appearance- no variety of vegetables mostly just pumpkinBeef Burger:- tasted terrible- beef patty was cold- the patty tasted like it was just taken out of a freezer packet and thrown on a grill to just defrost it- chips were soggy, very few chipsWe left most of our meals mostly untouched as it tasted terrible I would personally not come back here for food. You get what you pay for as they were quite cheap we payed around $20-25 for both the meals combined.Atmosphere was fine nice lighting and outdoor setting nice for alchoholic beverages.

Had a great lunch here. The atmosphere was great, the service quick and friendly. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious. I had a cheeseburger (starting from only $9!) and it was excellent. The person I was with had the southern fried chicken, and they enjoyed it very much.Difficult to understand some of the negative reviews on here as they are nothing like the wonderful experience I had. Will definitely be back.

in and outside dining. The food was fantastic, cocktails were a bit small but affordable and tasty. toilets available across the laneway . limited street parking but close to southbank parkland and heaps of taxis and users available.
