The tunnel is a lot longer than expected when you walk through it... watch your feet!!!

Good fun for kids and parents, easy flat access. Totally worth the time and effortit’s the original tracks and sleepers and has water running constantly so do not take your good shoes. You walk on sleepers and rocks to stay mostly dry, but you need phone light or torch would be better.

Incredibly pretty walk, the tunnel drips water when the ground on top is wet, make sure to have a waterproof jacket if you plan to walk through, although it is absolutely worth it.

Awesome experience, just try not to take an entity home with you. Best when cold and raining as it's misty with fog over tunnel entrance. Love this tunnel. GPS is a little off....just follow the tracks where they cross the road.

What a gorgeous tunnel! Date stamped when it was built and there is an interesting article on the tunnel at the Scottsdale visitor centre where it took only 47 days to build but I will leave you to find out more about it! 200m to walk along a track and the tunnel is great place to visit a bit of history

Roads off the highway ok for vans and motorhomes. Parking at old railway crossing with plenty of turning or reversing room. We walked the whole length of the tunnel which because of there being lots of riverlets inside, plus we stopped for photos, took us 35 mins one way, but 20 mins return non-stop, inside the actual tunnel. Sad to see lazy people have dropped empty drink cans along the way. Is it so hard to carry it back to your car?

A great spot for a hike, remember to bring a torch if you want to walk the whole lenth of the tunnel. Great spot for photography. I reccomend good footware as it can get a bit wet and muddy at times. There is no laid path just the original rails and sleepers, so watch your step. Easy parking and a short 150m walk to tunnel entrance.

If rains , it’s hard to walk there, better wear gumboots and when you sing there is echo, the sign there tells us not enter dangerous . So we not enter the tunnel.
