Amazing stay! Super friendly people (staff & guest), therefore very welcoming and good atomsphere. Located centrally but still a quiet room with very good sleep. One of my top favorite places to stay in tassie!

Just a good honest Aussie pub. Friendly staff, and patrons. Good beer and food. Great deck out the back overlooking the Derwent River. Go there!

Excellent pub food, couldn’t fault it. The chicken Parma was big! I had the agnolotti with a side of Dutch carrots which were superb! Would come back is a heart beat. Great selection of gin and great service.

Absolutely fantastic Pub. I stopped by on a long distance bicycle charity tour in December, and I was met by one of the owners, Don, out the front of the pub (absolutely exhausted) and kindly helped to my room. Fantastic publican. A pub full of charm. Great hearty meals with a clean bed. What more can you ask?! I look forward to returning.

An oldie but a goodie. There were 26 in our group. Apart from having a long wait the food was good. Everyone was happy with their meals and the choice was good. I had chicken schnitzel and it was tender and tasty. Nice to check out old floorboards and other features kept.

It doesn’t look much from the outside, but this place has a warm and cozy feel about it. Reasonable selection of beers on tap and standard pub foods. I can imagine this place in the wintertime with the fireplace adding to an already rustic and comfortable charm. Worth the drive from Hobart, even just for a beer.
