Troy did a range of small jobs for us everything from making a beautiful new top for an outside table to repairing the hinges on our side gate and erecting a mirror in our bathroom. We could not ask for a better handyman. Jane took our calls and let us know Troy's eta. Troy purchased the materials for the work he was doing for us and we avoided a trip to frusrating visit to Bunnings second guessing what materials we needed for our jobs.

Troy carried out an assortment of repairs at our house. The work was completed to a high standard and both he and Jane were pleasant and professional to deal with. I'd be happy to book them again in the future.

We used Hire a Hubby in the sale of our home and found some of their work to be sub-par in particular the painting of our architraves. We met with them onsite and while they disagreed with our request to repair it to begin with despite their visually being sections that had been missed they agreed to do it “under warranty” as long as we paid in full they would arrange for the works to be undertaken. They did not get in touch with us to arrange the works and almost a month after saying they would reach out I contacted them with approx 40days left till settlement. They advised their painter was away and couldn’t complete the works until after settlement and we’re only doing so in good faith despite putting in writing that it was under warranty. We had advised that the works were to be completed prior to settlement as agreed upon and if they knew their painter would be away they should have already arranged this. We requested a refund for that element of the works which they declined and said it was good will and they had completed the works. I continued to try find a solution even reaching out to Hire a Hubby head office to assist but the owners of the Weston Creek franchise refused and continued to make a point of them feeling they had completed the works. We had already accepted a dodgy built balustrade that we paid in full for and some other poor workmanship but we’re requesting what they had advised they would repair. Jane was incredibly rude and unhelpful so much so the head office advised they had recommended a solution but as it is there business they could not force them to do so. It reached a point that I advised I would be passing onto the fair trading that they sent an email advising that they would give us a $100 refund but we had to promise not to write any bad reviews or take the matter further which we declined and then they paid us anyway in the hope that would stop any reviews. We were simply seeking a fair and reasonable solution to poor workmanship and Hire a Hubby Weston Creek refused out of principal. This is not how you should run a service business. We are fair people who understand it may not be perfect being they are simply unqualified handymen but expect to get what we paid for. I would NEVER recommend this company and their rude and poor service

Troy and Jane are a dream team to work with - professional, hardworking and reliable. We were particularly pleased with their responsive attitude from fitting us in at short notice, providing a clear itemised quote and keeping us updated on progress. Troy did an exceptional job replacing our concrete driveway that was heavily damaged by tree roots with a lovely granite. Also fixed our damaged garage matching to the original paint colour perfectly. Recommend to anyone looking for a handyman who you can trust will get the job done right first time with no fuss.
