I had a good experience at HPGS. I dealt with two fellows there, the second one was Matt. Both fellows were knowledgeable, they asked good questions and helped to steer me in the right direction. I live 3 hrs away from HPGS. They have a good selection of guns/ rifles. You really need to handle them to see if they are a good fit for you. Matt showed me a few shotguns was well. ( after asking what/ where I'd be shooting) and then showed me shotguns that would be suitable for me. All up, HPGS were good to deal with. I'll use them again. Thanks.

I like to give fair criticism but the lack of service at this store is shameful. I have gone on numerous occasions to buy from this store and have walked out because I have waited so long that I have left in frustration. Today was no different, it was as if I was the Invisible Man. They only seemed interested when I was about to walk out the door. Please remember, how you run your business is your business but where I spend my money is my business. I will spend my money elsewhere that treats me like a customer. Politely, if you want real service choose another store as you will not find it here !

So after buying my very first rifle from Horsley park gun shop and driving down from the Hunter Valley to do so I bought a .22 HMR turns out it was a defective rifle as the bolt was not wanting to go in. Turns out the bolt was engaged prior to shipping and would not slide into the rifle. Dane from horsley park gun shop referred me to mark at cessnock gun shop and he diagnosed the issue on the spot and repaired it in front of me. Horsley park went that extra mile to rectify the manufactures issue.

Have purchased a few items from Horsley. Always friendly and helpful. I picked up a firearm shipped from another Dealer through them. Forgot my licence had to run home and back. Got there just before closing. You could see the poor guy just wanted to get home but he stuck around, helped me out and was great the whole time.Amazing service. Went above and beyond!

You might have to wait a bit, sometimes it can be busy. But it is a great place with friendly staff who love a good banter and convo.Purchased a few rifles here and always left with good experiences.

I think you are meant to feel privileged just to walk into this place and give them money. As a relative newbie to shooting I found the counter staff to be arrogant, obnoxious, unfriendly, and condescending. Awfully sorry I went in there to spend some money. There is one hell of nice helpful guy on the ammo counter, tall guy with a beard, the rest will just look right through you.
