Wanted advice re whether Bunnings offered installation service and cost of a bathroom heat lamp. A Special Orders counter staff member looked up the price in a folder and advised it was $160, which was competitive with external quotes I had received of around $150 and $200. However after purchasing and going online to book the install, the website advised that this price was only if you have an existing unit of the same dimensions that needed replacing. No mention of how much extra for new installs. After registering I was assigned to an external electrician with borderline reviews, two of which were very concerning, who advised the cost would be an extra $200. So $360, not $160 as originally indicated by Bunnings. I felt misled by this as there was only one install voucher available at Bunnings for $160, and at no time before purchase either at the Special Orders desk or Front Desk was I advised that there was a different, significantly higher cost if it was a new install. One star for the refund service person who was understanding about my situation. However, they really need to improve their transparency and communication regarding the true costs involved.I wasted a considerable amount of time researching and comparing the costs, waiting for someone to be available at the Special Orders desk (they seem to be very short staffed here) and then having to return to the store for the refund.

Some staff are good some are not willing to help. An experience I had with one of the staff is like this: I was looking for a staff to ask about a particular equipment, and I found two guys, one on the mobile phone, the other was next to him listening to his friend's conversation. So I thought the guy who was listening could help me. When I asked for help, the guy on the phone pointing his phone, saying we are on the phone man" and the two basically refused to help. Anyway

It is one of the larger stores therefore more stock however everytime I went there I had to wait ages to get someone to help.It is not the staffs fault, I think there are less staff members than required.

Despite the fact that me and my partner shop here four five times a week, if I go through the self check out and there's an older white lady there, she will cut me off half way and start going through my cart before I could even finish like I'm some sort of criminal. Extremely rude and unhelpful. You need to train your older staff better. And stop hiring racist people. I've never seen them do it to other shoppers, but if I'm holding the scanner, happens every time without fail. As one of the few Asian shoppers here, I don't think it's a coincidence. Shame on you.

Other consumers are outright rude and verbally abusive. The staff just ignore it and let them go.Twice in 3 days I have been verbally abused for being unable to move out of people's way.

Always have precisely what I need. More importantly the staff always have a kind word to say and are more than willing to assist in any way they can. Plus this fool LOVES it

Typical Bunnings, huge with a wide range of products related to hardware, maintenance, building, gardening, storage etc. Great range of tools as well as equipment hire. I needed a few items from different areas and had to ask staff on the floor for directions. Always friendly and helpful. I also needed some info on product selection for some roofing products. Staff member I spoke to must have been a tradie or roofie as he was experienced with the products and could recommend the most suitable for my purposes. Fantastic service! I also had to return an item that was faulty under warranty. No questions asked, I thought it would need repair etc, but they just told me to get a brand new one and swapped it with no hassles. Great store.

Went there for some repair material. Decided to get something to eat. Although Cafe wasn't as busy, it took like 5 minutes to give my order I was confused about the person who served me, wearing a tag that reads: Paint Expert, but she was serving food!!???. The Flat white coffee wasn't hit enough for my liking, ..its a hardware store after all...

As a member of Scouts, I worked with Bunnings and their support was phenomenal. They showed kindness and dedication by providing us with the necessary resources and expertise for our activities. Bunnings takes pride in giving back to the community and supporting local initiatives. They're an excellent example of a company that cares about making a difference. Highly recommended for their corporate social responsibility.
